17 NBA teams have announced Pride Nights this season. What about the other 13?
So far, just 17 NBA teams have announced an LGBTQ Pride Night this season. Last year, 22 did. We're waiting on the other 13.

The NBA is back for 2026-2027, which means LGBTQ fans will want to know when they can go to their local team’s Pride Night. Professional basketball is one of the most inclusive sports, but not every team does a good job of representing its queer fans.
When we published last year’s list, 21 teams planned to host a Pride Night for their fans. The Sacramento Kings had a Pride event after the season ended in June, so that brings the count to 22 teams that celebrated LGBTQ fans over the course of last season.
The previous season, the number was 25.
Not a great trend to see from NBA teams.

Los Angeles Lakers – October 8, 2026
The Lakers had Pride Night during a preseason game earlier this month against the Kings. Fans got a Pride shirt for attending. The game being during the preseason means the tickets were probably cheaper as well, giving more queer fans the ability to attend.
Golden State Warriors – November 5, 2026
The Warriors are in one of the most historically LGBTQ cities in America, but that doesn’t necessarily mean they’ll always be that way. After seeing the San Francisco Giants turn their backs on gay baseball fans this summer with players defacing Pride hats on the field, it’s great to see the Warriors continue the tradition of Pride.
Dallas Mavericks – November 8, 2026
The Mavs Pride Night will be on November 8, and part of the ticket sales will go to the Trevor Project. What a great cause! The Mavs also employ openly gay CEO Rick Welts, one of the true pioneering LGBTQ men in sports.
Cleveland Cavaliers – November 16, 2026
The Cavs celebrated last year in November as well.
Portland Trail Blazers – December 12, 2026
The Blazers have cut costs this offseason, from not extending their head coach to letting legendary announcer Kevin Calabro go. It’s good that they still have the resources for Pride Night, which will take place on December 12.
Minnesota Timberwolves – December 21, 2026
The Wolves will celebrate Pride on December 21. The team’s two best players, Anthony Edwards and LaMelo Ball, both have been fined for using homophobic language in the past.
Denver Nuggets – January 5, 2027
The Nuggets always look like they’re representing the gays when they wear their rainbow jerseys, but they’ll actually celebrate Pride at the beginning of 2027 with a Pride water bottle giveaway.
San Antonio Spurs – January 8, 2027
The defending Western Conference champs will host Pride on January 8 against the Memphis Grizzlies.
Los Angeles Clippers – January 9, 2027
The Clippers will be giving out a Pride shirt during this game, but the design hasn’t been revealed yet.
Brooklyn Nets – January 20, 2027
The Nets are another frequent Pride Night team. They’ll be hosting in late January this year against the Chicago Bulls. Unfortunately, you won’t see many wins when you watch Brooklyn, though.
Boston Celtics – January 23, 2027
Boston is one of the most inclusive LGBTQ cities in America. The Celtics usually have a Pride Night, and that will continue this season in January. The team is in somewhat of a new era after trading Jaylen Brown this offseason to the Sixers.
Houston Rockets – January 27, 2027
The Rockets were one of the teams that hadn’t announced Pride Night yet when we wrote last year’s report. They did eventually have one in April, but this season it comes earlier.
Chicago Bulls – March 6, 2027
The Bulls will celebrate Pride yet again this year, this time with a promotional giveaway that’s part of the team’s “Artist Hat Series”. A certain number of fans will get a hat designed by a local Chicago artist.
Orlando Magic – March 22, 2027
The Magic will host Pride on March 22 this season. They have one of the strongest LGBTQ support records in the league.
Indiana Pacers – March 30, 2027
The Pacers have Pride scheduled for late in the season, hopefully amidst renewed success for the team after Tyrese Haliburton missed all of last season with an Achilles injury.
Washington Wizards – March 31, 2027
The Wizards will give out rainbow colored soccer jerseys on Pride Night in late March.
Milwaukee Bucks – April 6, 2027
There’s not a lot to look forward to this Bucks season with Giannis now in Miami, but LGBTQ fans can celebrate Pride on April 6.
Atlanta Hawks – N/A
The Hawks held Pride Night on October 13, 2025, last season. That was a preseason game. They haven’t announced this year’s event yet.
Charlotte Hornets – N/A
The Hornets held a Pride Night last season on December 7, 2025. This year’s Pride Night is unannounced.
Detroit Pistons – N/A
The Pistons had Pride Night on March 26 last year. There’s no date yet this season.
Memphis Grizzlies – N/A
The Grizzlies have no announced date yet. There is also no verification that they hosted a Pride Night last year.
Miami Heat – N/A
The Heat have no announced Pride date. This would be the second straight year of no Pride Night in Miami, an unusual thing for a city that is so gay-friendly.
New Orleans Pelicans – N/A
No confirmed date yet for the Pelicans. They have their theme nights published online, but there is no Pride Night as of this writing.
New York Knicks – N/A
The champs held Pride in January last season. There’s no date yet this season.
Oklahoma City Thunder – N/A
The Thunder infamously skip Pride Night every season. We’ve reached out to their PR team for a reason as to why, but we haven’t gotten a response.
Philadelphia 76ers – N/A
The Sixers haven’t announced Pride or any other theme nights yet this year.
Phoenix Suns – N/A
The Suns celebrated Pride on January 27 last season. There’s no date yet this season.
Sacramento Kings – N/A
No Pride Night yet for the Kings in 2026-2027. Last year the Kings announced their Pride Night later in the season.
Toronto Raptors – N/A
Kawhi Leonard is back in Toronto, and hopefully Pride Night will also return. There was no verified date in our report from last season either.
Utah Jazz – N/A
The Jazz are often late to announce Pride Night, so stay tuned here.
