Tips for International Travel - Get the right power adaper
If you are looking to travel internationally, being able to plug stuff in or recharge it is pretty critical.
In the US, power comes in 110 volts while most overseas locations are 220 volts. If your device does not support dual voltage and you plug it in, it will fry. Read the back of everything you plan to bring. Most will say 110-220 if they support both. If you must bring it and it's 110 only, you will need a power transformer. This is not a power transformer. This is a power adapter. The voltage on the other end will still be 220.
What this does is have a few retractable plugs that fit in all European, UK, Australian, and Middle Eastern style plug. On the other end are holes where you can plug in any device. Confirm it by reading the power brick but for the most part, laptops run on DC and the power brick will typically accept 110-200v AC and have an output that's around 12V DC.
The USB and USB-C ports on this device are DC and anything you plug in that way will be fine as well.
Another tip: Since this is likely going to be charging your phone on the bedside table, plug it in first and check for LED lights that might keep you up at night. I cover the lights with electrical tape.
