Beyond Provincetown, Palm Springs, Guerneville, and Big Bear Lake, many other bear weekends and bear festivals are worth checking out. From autumn 2026 into 2027, the calendar is packed with options for every type of traveler. Las Vegas joins the list with a big summer weekend as well. From tropical escapes in Key West to beach parties on Fire Island and a fast-growing bear weekend in Ottawa, these events combine American and Canadian flair with a strong sense of community. If you’re planning your gay bear travels, this region is a must. We love how each city brings its own twist: New York adds energy, Florida adds sunshine, and the Midwest brings hospitality.

• Bear Jamboree (Orlando, Florida, USA): The biggest Bear Party in Florida, next held June 3 to 7, 2027.
• Key West Bear Weekend (Florida, USA): Tropical escape with pool parties and competitions from October 28 to November 1, 2026.
• Fire Island Bear Weekend (New York, USA): Combines beach days with the influence of NYC nightlife; 2027 dates not yet announced (typically mid-June).

For a decade, Mexico’s gay bear scene has meant one place: Puerto Vallarta. In 2026, a second destination joins the map, on the Pacific coast in Oaxaca.

• Bearsgiving Weekend (Puerto Vallarta, Mexico): A Thanksgiving getaway with beach parties, a catamaran trip, and pool events, from November 27 to 29, 2026.
• Jugoso (Zipolite, Oaxaca, Mexico): A brand-new four-day bear weekender debuting at Mexico’s only official nudist beach, over the US Thanksgiving weekend from November 26 to 29, 2026.
• Bearadise IBFF Bear Week (Puerto Vallarta, Mexico): A ten-day bear festival running alongside BeefDip, with a full-day beach event at Majahuitas on January 28, from January 22 to 31, 2027.

Gay Bear Events 2026 and 2027 in Europe

Europe offers some of the most diverse gay bear festivals worldwide. From massive celebrations like Sitges Bears Week to smaller weekends in Luxembourg or Scotland, there is something for everyone. We’ve found that European bear events often combine sightseeing and culture with lively nightlife, which makes them ideal for travel-loving bears. For 2026 and 2027, Europe remains one of the strongest regions for international bear events. Whether it’s dancing in Brussels, exploring Paris, or enjoying a kilted ceilidh in Edinburgh, these weekends always leave us feeling connected.

• Belgium Bearpride (Brussels): Belgium Bear Week is an autumn celebration featuring parades, parties, and contests. The 2027 dates have not been announced yet.
• BearScots (Scotland): A gay bear event series famous for kilts, ceilidh dances, and a warm Scottish welcome. The 2027 dates for the Edinburgh and Glasgow editions have not been announced yet.
• Bear Pride Luxembourg: A small but international bear weekend. The 2027 dates have not been announced yet.
• Bears of Poland and Mr. Bear Poland: Blends competition with social events in a historic city. The 2027 dates have not been announced yet.
• Prague Bear Summer (Czech Republic): Combines sightseeing with lively nightlife, next held August 3 to 9, 2027.

For us, attending a gay bear event in South America means combining sunshine, friendly hospitality, and vibrant nightlife. The parties are loud, the beaches are stunning, and the people are welcoming. More travelers are discovering these bear weekends, and we expect them to continue growing in 2027 and beyond.

• Woof Week (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil): Combines beach life with Brazilian nightlife, creating a unique bear experience in South America’s gay capital. The 5th anniversary edition runs January 17 to 24, 2027.

The Southern Hemisphere has its share of gay bear events in 2027, often timed with Mardi Gras season. Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane each offer their twist on the bear weekend formula. These festivals may be smaller than some European or American gatherings, but they are just as full of heart. We hope to return to Australia one day to experience the mix of summer, Pride, and bear parties that make this region special. • Arno’s Bear Cruise on Symphony of the Seas (Galveston, Texas): A week-long Royal Caribbean sailing for bears, from January 31 to February 7, 2027.
• CruisingBears.com After Bears Sitges Week Cruise (Barcelona round trip): A seven-night Mediterranean sailing on Virgin Voyages’ Resilient Lady with stops in Italy, Spain, and the French Riviera, from September 12 to 19, 2027, right after Sitges Bears Week.

Recurring Gay Bear Parties Worth Planning a Trip Around

Not every bear gathering is a once-a-year week. Some of our favorite nights happen monthly or several times a season, and once you know the rhythm, you can build a city trip around them just as easily as around a bear week. This guide continues to grow as we do, so here are a few recurring nights and annual parties worth checking before you book that Amsterdam, London, Toronto, or Palm Springs weekend.

• Bear Bash (Amsterdam & London): A synchronized bear night at Eagle Amsterdam and Eagle London, held every second Friday of the month, starting cozy at 9 pm before the dancing takes over later.
• BEEFMINCE (London, UK): London’s long-running bear club night at the Royal Vauxhall Tavern, going strong since 2016 with events roughly monthly, plus occasional touring editions in other UK cities.
• Sticky Rice (Palm Springs, USA): An annual weekend for gay Asian bears and admirers at Casa Oliver, usually held in late September.
• MEGAWOOF America (Chicago, San Diego & Los Angeles, USA): A touring bear circuit party with several editions spread across the year in each city.
• OktoBearfest (Munich, Germany): A gay bear river cruise down the Danube timed with Munich’s Oktoberfest, typically running from late September into early October.
• Bears in Excess & Chubs at the Tubs (Toronto, Canada): A long-running bear party series for bears, cubs, chubs, and admirers, usually held on Sundays at Spa Excess. Check the group’s Instagram for current dates.
