Holigay tees, Michelle Yeoh & Cigarette Santa: 10 things we’re obsessed with this week

The holigay spirit is in full swing, and we're soaking up guys, gags, and Matt Rogers' Instagram thirst trap.

We’ve kicked the tryptophan from the turkey and survived the Black Friday barrage, and now, the rest of the holigay weekend can begin.

But if you have no plans to leave the safety of your couch (and personal supply of martini-making supplies), we could hardly blame you.

How about we take this to the next level?

Thankfully, there’s a ton of juicy goss to catch up on from the last week in LGBTQ+ news, like the gayest Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade mishaps, the gay who danced into Ezra Sosa’s DMs, and medieval lesbians.

Plus, Kathy Griffin showed her emails, we dived into the Avatar films’ lack of gay impact, and Paul Mescal said he may never play gay again. Gasp!

Otherwise, the holigay spirit is in full swing, and we’ve been busy soaking up guys, gags, and Matt Rogers’ Instagram thirst traps — not necessarily in that order.

Without further ado, we present the 10 things we’re obsessed with this week….

1. Lydia Lydia Lydia: A Collection of Photographs

No one had a better 2025 than Lydia B. Kollins. Over the past year, the drag sensation with a penchant for Tim Burton transformed from bedroom queen to Drag Race fan favorite, with back-to-back appearances on Season 17 and All Stars Season 10. Not to mention a showmance with Kori King that’s stolen the internet’s hearts.

Luckily, the Pittsburgh queen had pal and photographer, Ava Grace, by her side to capture the whole journey. In Lydia Lydia Lydia: A Collection of Photographs ($61.75 on Amazon), they share over 300 photos, never-before-told stories, and offer a fascinating look at what goes into preparing for and executing a breakout year on television. And because RuPaul would be mad if I didn’t say this: The B stands for b*tthole.

2. Cigarette Santa

It’s the most h*rny-filled wonderful time of the year, which is probably why the sugar twink plum fairies have been filling my dreams with visions of this ridiculous Santa Claus Cigarette Holder, on sale for $13.95 at Amazon. This contraption, which features the North Pole daddy peeking out from a barrel, holds eight stogies, and when you press a button, they shoot out from, erm, between his legs.

I can think of no better white elephant gift, or regular addition to the holiday decor. You know, if you’re on the naughty list like that.

3. “DJ Play a Christmas Song” by Cher

Move over, Mariah Carey, Kelly Clarkson, and even Brenda Lee. Now that Thanksgiving is behind us, I think it’s time the LGBTQ+ community recognizes the real supreme holiday anthem: “DJ Play a Christmas Song” by Cher. It’s infectious, over-the-top, slightly ridiculous, and an undeniable bop — and I absolutely need her to perform it when she appears on Saturday Night Live for the first time in 40 years this December.

4. The softest throw blankets known to gay men

It’s cozy season, a.k.a. the two months of the year I walk around my apartment wearing a throw blanket like a caftan. (Can you tell The Birdcage was formative in my development?) Thankfully, I can do it in seasonal style with Noble House’s adorable collection of blankets, including the Hanukkah, Red Reindeer, and Blue Snowman Throws, all on sale for $29.99 at The Pride Store. These massive, 50″x60″ microplush blankets are lightweight, impossibly soft, and the perfect way to stay warm when your super’s too cheap to turn on the heat.

5. Michelle Yeoh on the Wicked: For Good press circuit

No one enjoyed the Wicked: For Good press tour as much as Michelle Yeoh, who found a quippy line to describe her character’s evolution — “Madame Morrible, MM, flip it around, Wicked Witch!” — and stuck with it in Every. Single. Interview. This is her “holding space” moment, and honestly, I hope she never stops saying it.

6. Holigay Tees

As long as I’m alive, well, and haven’t had to pay my part of the deposit for a Fire Island timeshare yet, there will always be a market for holiday-themed graphic tees. This year, I’m eyeing the festively on-point options from Urban Outfitters, like the booby-trap-themed Home Alone Graphic Tee ($29), vintage-styled Peanuts Holiday Carolers Graphic Tee ($35), and simple but sweet Holiday Cocktails Graphic Tee ($39).

Perhaps I need all three? There are 12 gays of Christmas, after all.

7. This punk band’s song about circumcision?

Not many men get circumcised at age 23, write a song about the experience, and then bring the doctor who operated on stage at Warped Tour to perform it, but apparently, that’s exactly what pop-punk band People R Ugly did. From start to finish, this video of the entire moment had me absolutely gagged. Now, how can we get them to release the uncut version? JK.

8. Clueless Little People Collector Figurines

This year marks the 30th anniversary of Clueless, and if you think that means we’re getting old, all I can say is, “As if!” That said, the milestone birthday has meant the movie-themed merch game has been off the hook, though I haven’t seen a single tee or shoe-brand collab as cute as the special-edition Clueless Little People Collector Set ($21.59 on Amazon).

While each box set includes an adorable plastic likeness of Cher Horowitz, Dionne Davenport, and Tai Fraser — all in their signature outfits – Christian is noticeably absent. Which is basically a sign that they’re just waiting for a new gay bestie to buy them.

9. Matt Rogers’ holigay gift

The unofficial gay prince of the holidays gave an early gift to the community in the form of this tasteful thirst trap in a white tee and briefs. I think JVN said it best when they commented, “You can almost feel the wind in your hair as everyone zooms in.”

10. The infinite wisdoms of Kay Poyer

Every time I see a video from trans creator Kay Poyer (@ladymisskay) come across my TikTok page, I immediately stop, listen, and learn. The self-proclaimed “baddie, Oracle, congresswoman” — we might need a fact check on that last one — is constantly spitting truth about straight dudes at clubs, the evilness of being 18 to 20 years old, and big girls serving a look in the skinnypocalypse. She will never lead you astray.
