Members of Gen Z are longing for the days of “millennial optimism” and life before social media algorithms stirred up widespread division and alienation.

For those who lived through it, the early 2010s were a simpler time. There were hipsters, IPA breweries, Obama and wired headphones. The clothes were also much tighter–literally. The gays hadn’t yet adopted Y2K straight cosplay and all of its dirtbag accessories (not hating, just saying).
All of this reminiscing got us thinking: what other cultural staples from bygone eras should return? Every generation thinks life was better in their heyday. We’re no different!
