It's good for you.The population of cute and cuddly Provincetown bears emerged from hibernation earlier this year just in time for Pride in June and the Provincetown Bear Week which concluded this past weekend.In addition to the usual lineup of pool parties, drag shows, and other lively events, this year’s Bear Week honored its founder, historian John Burrows, who passed away in May of this year. In his absence, the Provincetown Business Guild (PBG), the Crown & Anchor, and other Ptown venues have promised to keep his furry bear dream alive.“The bear community lost a great champion with the passing of John Burrows earlier this year,” Stephan Hengst, PBG’s executive director said in a statement provided to Out Traveler.Provincetown Bear Week 2023 took place July 8 to 15 at multiple venues. The population of cute and cuddly Provincetown bears emerged from hibernation earlier this year just in time for Pride in June and the Provincetown Bear Week which concluded this past weekend.

In addition to the usual lineup of pool parties, drag shows, and other lively events, this year’s Bear Week honored its founder, historian John Burrows, who passed away in May of this year. In his absence, the Provincetown Business Guild (PBG), the Crown & Anchor, and other Ptown venues have promised to keep his furry bear dream alive.
