All Things Go festival canceled at Forest Hills Stadium with nor’easter set to hit NYC

All Things Go NY has canceled its upcoming weekend-long festival at Forest Hills Stadium, with heavy rains and winds set to hit New York when a predicted nor'easter makes landfall later on Friday. Organizers of the popular All Things Go festival, which was set to begin on Friday, Sept. 25 and continue through Sunday, Sept. 27, said they "made the difficult decision" to cancel the event following consultations with local officials, Forest Hills Stadium representatives and "trusted weather advisors." "We really don't know how to put into words how heartbroken we are," festival organizers said in a post on social media. "The safety of our fans, the artists and local crew is our top priority." Any fan who purchased tickets via AXS online or by phone will automatically receive a refund to the credit used to make the purchase within 30 business days. Otherwise, fans can collect refunds at their original point of purchase. All Things Go, an independent music festival based in Washington, D.C. and New York City, was due to feature several notable artists across the weekend, including Zara Larsson in her first-ever headlining festival set. MUNA, Lola Young, Carly Rae Jepsen, CMAT, Rebecca Black and several other artists were due to perform at the festival before it was canceled due to the forecasted nor-easter. According to the National Weather Service, rain is expected to start as early as Friday evening and continue throughout the weekend, with the heaviest rain likely on Saturday. The forecast now predicts 2 to 3 inches of rain citywide, with some areas reaching a possible 4 to 5 inches. The city is also under a wind advisory, starting at 2 p.m. on Friday and potentially kicking up to 50 miles per hour by Friday evening. NWS forecasts coastal flooding during high tides between 7:30-8:30 p.m. on Friday night and between 7:30-8:40 a.m. Saturday morning, with moderate coastal flooding possible in southern Queens. NWS is also warning of minor to moderate flooding around Flushing Bay.
