Drag Race Philippines: World of Wonder releases fierce new trailer for season 2

The supersized trailer for Drag Race Philippines season two has finally arrived.

On 28 July, World of Wonder surprised fans with a sneak peek into the highly anticipated new batch of episodes. 

“Mabuhaaay! And welcome to the main stage and the season premiere of Drag Race Philippines,” exclaimed Paolo Ballesteros, who’s set to return as the show’s host. 

The trailer then shows an array of sickening clips from the season, including dramatic werkroom showdowns, lip-sync extravaganzas, and emotional confessionals.  

In addition to the drama and glamour, the trailer revealed the new guest judge lineup, including former social media influencer Bretman Rock.

“You’re that bitch,” the former GAY TIMES cover star exclaims in the teaser. 

Anne Curtis, Almira & Mylene Cercado, Kim Molina, Maricel Soriano, Gloria Diaz, Tessa Prieto, and Drag Race UK vs the World star Pangina Heals will also appear as guest judges. 

The new season of Drag Race Philippines will introduce 12 fierce new competitors to the franchise who will compete in various maxi-challenges, runways and lip-sync smackdowns for the title of the Philippines’ Next Drag Superstar.

The queens are as follows: Arizona Brandy, Astrid Mercury, Bernie, Captivating Katkat, DeeDee Marié Holliday, Hana Beshie, Matilduh, M1ss Jade So, Nicole Paradaux, ØV C–T, Tiny Deluxe, and Veruschka Levels. (You can read their official bios here.)

longside the crown and sceptre, the queens will compete for a grand prize of ₱1,000,000. 

Drag Race star Jiggly Caliente and actress KaladKaren will be returning as judges.

The first season of Drag Race Philippines received universal acclaim from fans and critics due to its creative challenges, runway themes and the cast’s charisma, uniqueness, nerve and talent.

After 10 episodes and a fierce lip sync smackdown against Marina Summers, Precious Paula Nicole was announced as the show’s inaugural winner.

The Drag Race Philippines season two premiere will air on 2 August on WOW Presents Plus in the UK, HBO GO in the Philippines, and Crave in Canada.
