Four More Red State AGs Join Moms For Threeways In Suing Biden Admin Over LGBTQ Student Protections

The Hill reports:

Four more Republican-led states sued the Biden administration Tuesday over new Title IX rules that bolster protections for LGBTQ students.

“Biden’s Department of Education has no authority to do what it is attempting to do,” Kansas Attorney General Kris Kobach (R), who is leading the lawsuit, said Tuesday at a press conference at the state capitol in Topeka.

Kansas, Utah, Wyoming and Alaska are joined in the lawsuit by two conservative political organizations — Moms for Liberty and Young America’s Foundation — which are represented by Southeastern Legal Foundation and Mountain States Legal Foundation.

Kobach, who somehow escaped prison for his role in the private border wall scam, recently appeared here when he compared Biden to Hitler during an appearance on Steve Bannon’s show. With the addition of today’s four states, now every state with a GOP attorney general has sued over LGBTQ protections.

Today, @KSAGOffice Kobach filed a lawsuit attacking transgender students by challenging the expansion of Title IX to include LGBTQ+ students. To justify this, Kobach called on RFRA, the act that enabled Hobby Lobby to use religious belief to deny employees birth control.
