As Grindr can attest, many gays fall trap to focusing so much on how they look that they fail to notice their dirty bathroom mirror. A major no-no in selfie world.
Well now a group of queers in one pocket of the country have seemingly found what they consider to be the best spot for taking the perfect selfie.
Washington, DC watering hole The Little Gay Pub has been serving the local LGBTQ+ community since 2023. And while the bar has been a popular nightlife option, its bathroom has become THE place for gays to see and be seen… in their selfies.

(@barheads_)Co-owner Dito Sevilla told the Washington Examiner no expense was spared in designing the bathroom and described the aesthetic as “crazy Hollywood Regency meets Palm Beach extravaganza.”
While writer Tristan Espinoza detailed further: “Emerald subway tiles line jungle-print wallpaper. Brass fixtures meet marble countertops, and an antique swan-neck faucet spills into the basin below.”
It all works as the luxurious gentlemen’s club vibes have been a huge hit. The fact that the bathroom’s lighting is customizable has been an integral part to its success. Selife artists are free to brighten or dim the room to get the perfect shot.
The bathroom has become so popular it’s spawned an unofficial Instagram account dedicated to the hordes of mirror selfie masterpieces.
With gays at a bar you would think they’d stay hydrated, but thirst still happens. And to quench it, many aren’t just taking selfies in the outfits they rolled up in.
As expected, some are stripping off their tops and more! You gotta seize that good lighting to highlight those gym gains. Amirite, fellas?
Whether taking thirst traps, adding to Instagram Stories, or updating their Grindr profile, The Little Gay Pub’s bathroom has become the modern-day Sears Portrait Studio for DC gays. Say cheese!
