Jenna Ellis becomes instant ‘how it started, how it’s going’ meme after flipping on Trump in Georgia

Former Trump attorney and god-fearing Christian warrior Jenna Ellis made headlines back in August when she posed for her mugshot at the Fulton County jailhouse in Atlanta, Georgia wearing a defiant smile on her heavily made-up face.

She was one of the 19 co-defendants, along with Donald Trump, in the election interference case brought on by Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis.

But she’s not smiling anymore.

This morning, the 38-year-old delivered a tear-eyed confession in Fulton County Superior Court, pleading guilty to one count of aiding and abetting false statements and writings.

“As an attorney who is also a Christian, I take my responsibilities as a lawyer very seriously and I endeavor to be a person of sound moral and ethical character in all of my dealings,” Ellis read from a prepared statement.

“I believed that challenging the results on behalf of President Trump should be pursued in a just and legal way,” she added, but “I failed to do my due diligence.”

“If I knew then what I know now, I would have declined to represent Donald Trump in these post-election challenges,” she said. “I look back on this whole experience with deep remorse.”

Ellis first started working for Trump in 2019 as a senior legal adviser for his re-election campaign then stayed around to challenge the legitimacy of the 2020 election results after he lost, often tagging alongside Rudy Giuliani at press conferences, who, BTW, she also threw under the bus during her confession today.

Prior to landing a deal with prosecutors, Ellis was broke and crowdfunding online to pay for her legal defense as she stared down two very scary felony charges–one of solicitation of violation of oath by public officer and the other of violating Georgia’s Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO)–which carried a potential sentence of 20 years in prison.

Ellis is the latest one of the ex-president’s co-defendants to take a plea deal with prosecutors in the case, following Sidney Powell and two others. She was sentenced to five years of probation plus 100 hours of community service and ordered to pay $5,000 in restitution as well as write a letter of apology to the citizens of Georgia.

Oh, and she’ll have to testify against Trump and any of the other co-defendants who still haven’t made plea deals when they go to trial next year. ???? ???? ????

Prior to today’s guilty plea in Georgia, Ellis, who has called LGBTQ+ people (who she sometimes refers to as “LGBTQIAAblahblahblah”) “sinners”, “vile”, and “abominable”, was censured by legal officials in Colorado after she admitted to making 10 “misrepresentations” during Trump’s attempts to stay in power after losing to Joe Biden in 2020.

Trump has yet to comment on yet another of his lawyers pleading guilty and agreeing to testify against him in court, but we’re sure his complete denial of ever meeting/knowing/hearing of/talking to/being in the same room as Ellis will come in due time.
