Just over a third of people in Wales identify as “queer”, according to a recent report by an LGBT+ organisation. Stonewall Cymru found that in its recent Rainbow Cymru Report that 34% of the population are not strictly attracted to the opposite sex. Their study aimed to shed light on the queer community in Wales by using data and statistics from the 2021 England and Wales Census, an opinion poll of UK adults, and polling Ipsos UK polls.
