Dorothy, make way for the New York City gays! That’s precisely what happened on Sunday, June 22, when Hammerstein Ballroom transformed into a yassified yellow brick road for Broadway Bares: Come Out, Come Out.
The annual event, which benefits Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDs, is known for cheeky performances and vibrant costumes (or lack thereof), but something about this year’s Wizard of Oz theme made the mischievous night feel all the more magical.

Naturally, the Ozians also brought out their emerald-city coin purses; between its two sold-out performances and virtual Stripathon, the show-stopping Broadway Bares performers raised a record-breaking $2,447,967.
