Texas football players couldn’t stop celebrating with their crotches
Some Texas Longhorns players couldn't help but gesture to their genitals against Tennessee, including one really graphic celebration.

Making a big play in football is a cause for celebration, for many. These players put their bodies on the line once a week, and injuries can eliminate long-term opportunities in the blink of an eye. Many of them choose wild, if not completely absurd, “celebrations” when they do something noteworthy.
The Texas Longhorns, who entered the week as the No. 1 team in college football with quarterback Arch Manning at the helm, decided to take post-play celebrations to a more graphic level.
The TV audience — and the officials on the field — certainly noticed.

The first play in question was by defensive end Colin Simmons. After sacking Tennessee Volunteers quarterback Faizon Brandon for a 16-yard loss, Simmons pretended to take his mini-Simmons out of his drawers and pretend to take a leak on the field.
The 16-yard sack turned into a net of just one yard for the Longhorns, because the unsportsmanlike display drew a 15-yard penalty.
“I also do want to say I apologize for the celebration,” said Simmons. “I was definitely in that mode, feeling myself.”
He certainly was.
“But, you know, it happens. Charge it to the game. But next-play mentality. We don’t harp on that.”
Apparently not.

Simmons wasn’t the only Longhorn who wanted to show off his longhorn. Running back Raleek Brown scored a touchdown later in the game and celebrated by wiping his undercarriage and pretending to pass out.
We already know athletes don’t often pay attention to hygiene, so Brown confirming it in jest was par for the course.
Texas coach blames you for his players’ celebrations
Longhorns coach Steve Sarkisian said his players celebrated the way they did because we live in a society that is all about garnering attention. His players won’t be disciplined for the errors in judgment.
Texas is a perfect 4-0 this season after a 20-17 victory over the Volunteers. That seemed like a side storyline compared to the focus on activities that happen underneath the football jersey.
Just another day in college football, I suppose.
