Pedro Pascal may have won the Best Male Actor in a Drama Series at the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards for his role in The Last of Us, however it appears that revenge is best served via a kiss.

In his post-SAG-win interview with Queer Eye’s Tan France, who was acting as Netflix’s backstage correspondent, the style guru asked Pascal “how badly” he was “going to rag Kieran [Culkin] at the afterparty”.

The actor, who had previously announced on stage that he was “a little drunk”, shared that he’s “going to make out with Kieran. That’ll be my revenge.”

France responded: “I would love to see this, that would make me so happy.”

The speculative evening plans were brought up later by Entertainment Tonight, where Culkin said that the proposition was “false” whilst embracing Pascal. Culkin then claimed: “He also did ask if I wanted to smell his pits. That was weird.”

Culkin was nominated in the same category for his role in Succession. The duo have gone viral for their amusing banter going back and forth this entire awards season.

The first move was made by Pascal at the 75th Primetime Emmy Awards when he was presenting the award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama.

As part of his intro he said: “A lot of people have been asking about my arm. It’s actually my shoulder. I think tonight is the perfect time to tell everyone that Kieran Culkin beat the s**t out of me.”

Shortly after, Culkin won Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series — Drama at the Golden Globes. During his acceptance speech he referenced how he “accepted” that he would “never be on the stage” collecting the award.

In jest, he commemorated the moment and called out Pascal: “This is a nice moment. Suck it, Pedro. I’m sorry.” He then held up the trophy in the direction of his fellow nominee, who could be seen sitting laughing, and said “mine”.

Pedro recently shared that “filming is going amazing” for the second season of The Last of Us, telling Deadline: “It’s sort of awe-inspiring the kind of focus and dedication that everyone has going into season two.

“Stepping into those boots again, it feels strangely brand new,” he said. “I’ve never done anything like this before that has such original authorship before I ever got to it.”

The post-apocalyptic drama stars Pascal as Joel, a smuggler who is forced to travel across the US with Ellie (Bella Ramsey), a teenager who is immune to the virus that is transforming the population into mutated, zombified creatures.

Released in 2023, HBO’s adaptation of the popular Naughty Dog game franchise was met with widespread critical acclaim – particularly for the third episode, which depicted a gay love story between Nick Offerman and Murray Bartlett‘s characters.

Pascal also said how “incredible” it is to be “back home” with Ramsey and Craig Mazin, co-creator and executive producer, “and everybody, our entire crew, they’re working harder than I could even imagine, even harder than our first season which is close to impossible. It’s pretty inspiring and unbelievable and this is because of them.

“And then to be given the space to author what would I have to give and to be under Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann and alongside Bella Ramsey has been really the whole reason it works for me.”
