Three Men Dead In Murder-Suicide Shooting Outside Tucson Gay Bar, Police Are Investigating As Hate Crime

Tucson’s CBS affiliate reports:

The Tucson Police Department said three men were killed in an early morning shooting in a parking lot on Monday, Aug. 31, in what appears to be a murder-suicide. The TPD says two men died at the scene, which was next to the Venture-N Bar.

They were identified as 42-year-old Vincent Anthony Siqueiros, and 33-year-old Cameron Davis Capara. The third male, who police believe was the shooter, was identified as 44-year-old Ousman Ceesay, died at the hospital

Police say evidence suggests Ceesay confronted the victims in the parking lot and shot them. The suspect was in possession of a note with several LGBTQIA+ associated businesses written on it. The Tucson Police Department is currently investigating this homicide as a hate crime.

Lookout News reports:

The bar, Venture-N, is in Tucson’s midtown and has long been an established bar for the leather community, but has evolved to become a gathering place for the city’s older queer community.

On Monday afternoon, remnants of the crime scene were still apparent in the bar’s parking lot, with a Mercedes SUV with a bullet hole still parked out front.

“Tucson Police Department Investigators confirmed that the suspect possessed addresses for multiple LGBTQ+ friendly venues, intending to cause more harm. TPD is treating this entirely as a hate crime,” the mayor wrote online.

Obviously, there’s much more to come. The full statement from Tucson’s mayor is below.
