Named after the bartenders’ uniforms, Boxers is the best place to watch the game if you don’t mind getting distracted. Anyone can be a football fan for the day with their Super Bowl viewing party starting with a tailgate at 4 pm. It wouldn’t be a Super Bowl party without food, and Boxers serves up brick-oven pizza and drink specials to keep you going to the fourth quarter. The two-story NYC bar is known as a loud party spot, so be wary if you care about hearing the commercials, I mean game… 

Trying to catch the Super Bowl in LA? The best place in the city to be gay and sporty is Gym Sportsbar. West Hollywood’s original LGBTQ+ sports bar, Gym has become a national staple with additional spots in NYC and Wilton Manors. In fact, the Fort Lauderdale location will be holding its annual Super Bowl tailgate in front of its outdoor 20-foot screen. 

This LGBTQ+ sports bar in Washington DC’s Adams Morgan neighborhood is truly for everyone. While most sports bars are targeted towards men, Pitchers is all-inclusive and is even attached to one of the country’s last lesbian bars, League of Her Own. Check out both crowds and find where you fit in, or go back and forth between the two! Both spots are sports bars, with plenty of screens, so you’ll have a view no matter where you end up in this popular queer space. 

This Boystown sports bar has been a classic since 1983. The North End’s giant flat screens make it perfect for watching the game. Year-round they show all types of sports games, along with every new episode of Drag Race. If you’re more in the mood for playing than watching, hit up the pool tables or dartboards. Plus, it’s dog-friendly, so you might just make a new best friend. 

If you’ll be in San Francisco on Super Bowl Sunday, you have to watch the game from Hi Tops. This cozy 80s-gymnasium-themed sports bar is lined with TV screens. Nosh on all the game-time snacks you love from nachos to wings and giant soft pretzels. Come back on Thursdays for their weekly Gym Class whisky shots and go-go boys event. They also opened a location in WeHo, giving another great option for the city where it is all going down.

Everything’s bigger in Texas, especially football. All of Dallas’ bars will be showing the game, but only Woody’s is making it gay. Even the patio has screens, so you can catch the game no matter where your group chooses to hang out. Inside you’ll find a bunch of TVs to watch the game and even more regulars to get to know. This local’s favorite is known for its events throughout the week, including show tune sing-a-longs and drag shows.
