Giants players have created MLB’s gayest celebration yet, and the Mets are here for it
The Giants outfielders got up close and personal with each other after winning.

The San Francisco Giants beat the Los Angeles Dodgers, 9-3, on Monday night. It’s the type of routine early-season game that wouldn’t have gotten any notoriety, except the outfielders on the Giants gave the internet a lot to laugh about with their celebration after the victory.
Jung Hoo Lee, Drew Gilbert, and Harrison Bader decided to get really up close and personal with each other, humping one another in unison to cap off the night. No, really, it’s true. Take a look for yourself.
It’s all in good fun, obviously, and it shows once again that some of the gayest people in world seem to be presumably straight male athletes.
We’ve even had some other homoerotic bromance moments in baseball earlier in this season. Texas A&M college baseball players went viral last month after some similar sexualized goofiness in the dugout.

Something about baseball just makes these guys want to show love to each other in very non-traditional means!
Not to get too serious here, but it is unfortunate that we live in a society where straight men are able to freely express themselves and have fun in this manner during a game, but gay people are still scrutinized for their sexualities.
Would the moment have been as well-received if one of the players were an out gay athlete? And would that person’s teammates be as comfortable engaging in that type of roughhousing?

Gilbert confirmed that the guys were just having some fun and trying to be more creative with their celebrations.
“We’ll change it up, come up with something different,” Gilbert said. “Hopefully keep the vibes going here. Just trying to win some ballgames.”
The New York Mets got in on the action with the same celebration on Tuesday night after their win over the Detroit Tigers.
If there are more celebrations on the way from the Giants, we’ll be looking forward to seeing what they are. It’s hard to imagine any will get the attention of the triple humpers, though!
