Harrison Butker slams drag queens at the Olympics Opening Ceremony, makes a fool of himself. Again.

Harrison Butker is not very happy with the organizers of the Olympics Opening Ceremony in Paris.

The Kansas City Chiefs kicker — who famously shared his sexist and homophobic beliefs during a graduation speech a couple months ago — posted a video on his Instagram Stories of a moment from the Opening Ceremony that paid homage to the famous Last Supper painting by Leonardo da Vinci.

Butker’s caption: “This is crazy”

He then took to X to lecture everyone about it with a passage from the Bible:

The gay parts of the Paris Olympics opening ceremony saved it, including Tom Daley and Celine Dion
After several hours of strange performance pieces, rain, and muted responses to the athletes, the Opening Ceremony creates a stunningly perfect ending.

Elon Musk also got in on the act, decrying the performance as “disrespectful to Christians.”

Not to be outdone, Piers Morgan jumped into the fray.

So let’s get this straight. Christians export homophobia to the rest of the world, building legal systems in places like Africa that still execute gay people, and the issue is a fun, colorful display to kick off the Olympics?

Others on social media pointed out the double-standard applied by Butker, who couldn’t care less when The Simpsons or others recreate a work of art. The Last Supper is, after all, a painting. An artist’s rendition.

Butker seems to think it’s some kind of historical document painted by Jesus Christ himself.

Of course, Butker is fine with forcing women to make him breakfast. But put a dress on a guy? It’s an afront to god.

Butker and Musk weren’t the only people to jump on the “how dare you mock Jesus” bandwagon.

It’s unfortunate that these people feel the need to be offended by what seemed to be a nice homage to the rich history of European art with a nod to today’s culture, including festive colors and bright music.

Of course, it’s no dour 20-minute speech attacking women and gays. I’m sure Butker will get the chance to take another bite of that apple.
