JD Vance’s faces rebellion after new neighbors tell him to get the hell out of their town
The VP is very good at making enemies.

Virginia may be for lovers, but the state is giving a pretty antagonistic welcome to JD and Usha Vance.
As the couple prepares to have their fourth child, plans to take over a sprawling, $8.5 million horse farm in Middleburg, VA appear to be moving forward. But even though Vance and his family haven’t fully moved in yet, the residents of Middleburg would like a strong word.
You wouldn’t think a town of only 700 people could make that big a stink—but you’d be wrong. In a private Facebook group, denizens of the Loudon County border town spoke plainly about the mess Vance’s purchase is already creating—starting with the traffic issues caused by Vance’s Secret Service detail.
“Locals have spotted black SUVs and a Marine helicopter landing on the property,” Axios reported yesterday, “and over the July Fourth weekend, a neighbor saw the FAA post a no-fly drone zone on the site.”

Despite the farmhouse’s remote location, the small town is not prepared to share space with the VP and his growing family, especially since Vance’s property purchase puts more money in the hands of notorious data center developer (and Tr*mp supporter) Chuck Kuhn.
One poster called Vance and his ilk “disrespectful criminals…who have no problem with destroying your small town country vibe just because they feel like it.”
“You think traffic is bad now?” another commenter wrote. “Imagine Secret Service all over town, shutting down roads for travel…”
“Congratulations to Middleburg,” yet another Middleburg citizen wrote, “which will be locked down on the regular so these people can play on a big farm they don’t know how to take care of.”
While Virginia has red roots—especially in farm country—Middleburg residents of all political stripes are not thrilled about what Vance’s high-profile move means for their town.
“Here in our lovely little burg without a thought as to the vile daily upset he is causing,” another poster railed. “He needs to go back to the Naval Observatory and STAY THERE til we can rid ourselves of this threat.”
Yet another incensed resident voiced her distaste at Vance and Tr*mp’s “invasion” of their lives and news cycles.
These citizens are far from alone in their low opinion of JD Vance. Throughout this year, Vance’s schoolyard bully CJ Baker has been on the VP’s neck at every turn, highlighting Vance’s many failures and humiliations. He’s not stopping now. After posting a video about Lindsay Graham’s death and Mitch McConnell’s health issues (along with Kristi Noem’s firing) Baker continues to prophesy that every last MAGA employee is going to fall by the end of this year, along with Tr*mp himself.
But Vance’s downfall may come sooner than predicted. The VP’s purchase hasn’t only gotten him in hot water with Middleburg: the estate sale connects him even more closely with a man thousands of Americans might be blaming for widespread electricity loss next year.
Last week, Exelon CEO Calvin Butler warned Americans about a future in which the company would have to “curtail power” to thousands of users next year unless the meets the energy demand. But with data centers like Kuhn’s popping up with extraordinary frequency, tied with Tr*mp’s attempt to kill clean power sources, the grid could face even worse threats next year in the face of blazing hot summer temperatures.
If there’s one thing JD Vance knows how to do, it’s make enemies. This move certainly hasn’t won him any favors in the short term, and the long term scenario isn’t looking promising either.
