While just a teen at the time, Scarpelli was not out during the series’ run.
The success from One Day at a Time would lead to roles on The Love Boat, Jennifer Slept Here, Amazing Stories and MacGyver, among others.
In 1983, he ventured into singing by releasing his self-titled album and dropped the single “Get a Love On.”
Scarpelli soon became a teen heartthrob and appeared in the popular pinup magazines of the time.
The twink served face!
While he’s been mostly out of the public eye for decades, Scarpelli turned 60 on Monday and made a big splash with his birthday post.
That lanky teen from the ’80s has transformed into a full-blown muscle daddy!
Scarpelli shared a side-by-side image, one of him in a tight tank top next to a shirtless shot in bikini briefs. In both, his rippling muscles can not be denied.
In the caption, he expanded on his fitness journey.
“I turn 60 tomorrow. Goals reached. Not just physical but Body, Mind and Spirit. It takes all of it to create balance in life. Especially Spirit. To remember that our truest self is Love. The Most High Love,” he wrote.
“We have ultimate strength and endurance… and we know anything is POSSIBLE! Those are my thoughts and lessons from the journey of my 60 years. I share this with you today in total gratitude. For each of you. I appreciate all the love you always send my way. I feel it. And today I honor it. Happy Birthday to ME! And thank you!!”
Besides hitting the gym, Scarpelli is happily married to television producer John Ricci Jr.
The couple met in 2021 and in April 2023 announced they had eloped.
Along with their fur baby Poco, the husbands divide their time between Los Angeles and Sedona, Arizona, where Scarpelli is the owner of a television station.
Beyond the aesthetics of Scarpelli’s body transformation, it proves that it is never too late to take action and make the changes in life that you desire. And if the results lead to thirst traps, that’s just a bonus!
