Six amazing gay cruises now booking for 2027

When it comes to planning a gay cruise, it’s best to think well ahead. Early-bird tickets tend to sell at a discounted rate compared to those purchased just weeks in advance. Most cruise companies also offer interest-free, monthly payment plans for those wanting to spread the cost.

There are just a handful of gay travel companies that specialize in gay cruises, and they’ve all already got trips planned for 2027. A couple of them even have vacations already scheduled for 2028!

Atlantis – Epic Caribbean cruise – March 7-14, 2024

Gay cruise experts Atlantis tout their annual, epic Caribbean cruise as the biggest gay cruise event in the world. It takes place on the newly reinvented Allure of the Seas, and carries 5,600 passengers – nearly all of them queer men.

The ship, the biggest in the world, sets sail from Miami. Over the course of seven days, it drops anchor at Nassau in the Bahamas, Cozumel in Mexico, and Roatan, Honduras, before returning to Miami.

This cruise eclipses Atlantis’ 2026 Caribbean cruise, aboard the 5,500-capacity Symphony of the Seas. Across Allure’s five theaters, expect top shows from Broadway stars, a gay circus, internationally renowned DJs spinning sounds across five different dance floors, plus daily theme parties. There’s even an ice rink.

Cabins start at $1,499 per person for two people sharing (and there’s a room share program for single sailors).

Outbound – British Isles Cruise – June 30 – July 7, 2027

Outbound is a travel operator that’s proud to promote its boat vacations as LGBTQ cruises “that are NOT a circuit party.” It has several European cruises scheduled for next year, including a unique one focused on the British Isles.

The ship sets sail from Portsmouth and heads to Dartmouth in Cornwall, and then into the Irish Sea. It then calls at Dublin, Belfast and Liverpool. After a day at sea, it docks at Honfleur in Northern France, before returning to Portsmouth. As an additional add-on, you can spend three days in England before the cruise, visiting Stonehenge, Bath and London’s West End.

Prices for an interior stateroom start at $1,997

The Azamara Journey holds 702 guests in 351 staterooms. It offers seven restaurants, cafes and lounges, a pool, sun-drenched decks, and a revitalizing spa.

VACAYA – Total Eclipse Mediterranean cruise – July 27 – August 6, 2027

VACAYA is another queer cruise specialist. It has several cruises scheduled for 2027, with one of the more unique being a Mediterranean cruise that coincides with a solar eclipse. The trip takes place on the Oceania Allura, a ship that only made its debut in 2025. It will carry around 1,200 LGBTQ+ sailors.

Set sail from Italy’s Adriatic coast to vibrant Barcelona, exploring Dubrovnik, Kotor, Corfu, Sicily, Malta, Tunisia, and Palma de Mallorca along the way. The eclipse will take place on August 2. It’s the first time Europe has experienced back-to-back eclipses (in 2026 and 2027) since 1870-1871.

This is a very popular cruise. All the cheaper cabins have already sold out, leaving just the suites, which start at around $12,480 per person for three people sharing.

Big Gay Cruise – Southern Caribbean cruise – January 28 – February 6, 2027

The first Big Gay Cruise event of 2027 sets sail from Miami on January 28, 2027, for nine nights on the gigantic Freedom of the Seas. The itinerary includes Willemstad, capital of Curaçao; Oranjestad, capital of Aruba; Cabo Rojo in the Dominican Republic; and the private island escape of Cococay in the Bahamas, before returning to Miami, Florida. Expect “exclusive nightclub events, daily happy hour drag shows, costume contests, themed parties, and an exclusive theater performance.”

This is not an exclusively queer cruise. Big Gay Cruise organizes large group bookings (around 500-550 people) for queer customers and allies, and provides separate entertainment events aboard the ship, often of the drag variety. However, you have the whole boat to explore, and some people prefer the more mixed atmosphere. It’s also usually more affordable than an all-gay cruise, with prices starting from $1,477 for an interior room based on double occupancy.

Brand g – Luxury Greek Isles and Turkey cruise – September 12-23, 2027

Luxury LGBT travel company Brand g has announced half a dozen new boutique cruise vacations for its 2027 and 2028 schedule.

Brand g was launched in 2011 with a single riverboat trip. However, it now routinely organizes over two dozen trips each year. These are a mixture of guided tours, deluxe river cruises, and luxury yacht cruises at sea.

Its September luxury yacht-style cruise to Greece and Turkey will carry 190 guests aboard Atlas Ocean Voyages’ World Traveller. It sets sail from Athens and then heads to Mykonos, Bozcaada, Istanbul, Kusadasi, Bodrum, Rhodes, Symi and Hydra, before returning to Athens.

Prices start at around $8,499 per person for two people sharing.

Olivia – Grand Japan luxury cruise – Mar 31-April 10, 2027

Olivia is the world’s foremost cruising company for queer women. It organized its first event 36 years ago and has established a large and faithful following since then. It specializes in a mix of luxury events and small ship charters.

One of its most eye-catching cruises next year is a luxurious, 11-day and 10-night excursion around Japan.

“Sailing during the cherry blossom season, this journey offers the perfect blend of exploration, relaxation, and cultural immersion as you venture through some of the most breathtaking and historically rich regions of Japan.”

The trip, aboard the Windstar’s Star Seeker, travels from Osaka to Tokyo. It also calls at Takamatsu, Nagasaki, Hiroshima, Tomonaura, Karatsu, Kagoshima, and Shimizu, plus Busan in South Korea. The ship has a capacity of 224 passengers.

Bookings cost from $7,999 per person.
