The famous Canal Parade during Pride Amsterdam is one of the most distinctive ways to celebrate Pride, with decorated boats filled with dancers and drag queens, floating past the crowds along the city’s historic waterways.

In 2026, as Amsterdam hosts WorldPride from July 25-August 8, organizers are introducing a new way to experience the spectacle: a temporary “WorldPride Stadium” built directly along the parade route, offering reserved seating for thousands of spectators.

The grandstand will resemble the “Sambadrome” during Carnival in Rio de Janeiro, with rows of risers rising up above the parade route. The structure will run along the Prinsengracht canal, between Leidsestraat and Spiegelgracht, one of the most picturesque stretches of Amsterdam’s UNESCO-listed canal belt. (For a location reference, the popular Club Church is one block north of the Prinsengracht canal, just around the corner from Leidsestraat.) Organizers say the venue will accommodate approximately 10,000 people, providing a dedicated viewing area as parade boats pass through the heart of the city.

Tickets for Amsterdam Pride’s Canal Parade are available directly through the official Pride Amsterdam website.

There are two ticket types:

  • Seat Only
    • Early Bird: €35
    • Regular: €50
    • Late Bird: €65
  • All Inclusive
    • Early Bird: €200
    • Regular: €250
    • Late Bird: €275

The All Inclusive option includes a reserved seat plus food, drinks, and entertainment before the boats arrive. The Seat Only ticket is simply admission to the grandstand, with food and drinks available for purchase inside.

WorldPride 2026 is expected to draw hundreds of thousands of visitors from around the globe, making accommodations and event tickets more competitive than during a typical Amsterdam Pride celebration. Travelers interested in the Canal Parade stadium should monitor the official Pride Amsterdam website for ticket availability, venue maps, and event updates. Whether viewed from a canal bridge, a waterfront café, or a seat in the new grandstand, the Canal Parade promises to remain one of the most memorable Pride celebrations in the world.

Attendance is expected to be high during WorldPride, so visitors should plan ahead and purchase tickets as early as possible.
