On the latest episode of “Gays Can’t Behave,” meet the liberal politician who might be too hot for his own good.

Carl Cashman is a city councillor and leader of the Liberal Democrats in Liverpool, where he helps the fight against conservatism with his fierce advocacy for the people, including a concerted focus on LGBTQ+ equality… and, oh yeah, indulges in the occasional thirst trap.

Now, it appears, perhaps unsurprisingly, that Twitter X’s thirst for this man has gotten so overwhelming that he had to turn off the comments. LOL.

Cashman came across our radar with a post on Sunday, when he thanked ITV reporter Lise McNally for speaking to him about the upcoming Liberal Democrats conference and shared a photo on Twitter X.

The 30-something politician, who wore a tight-fitting dress shirt and some particularly well-fitting pants, must have known how good he looked because he switched off public comments on the post, which he notably hasn’t done on others.

It’s a good thing, too, because within a day, he had gone mega-viral with over 3.3 million views.

Perhaps, as a user named @pxttyasf observed and so eloquently explained, “Bro knew the gays were coming for his sexy ass.”

But while the gays couldn’t directly comment on Mr. Cashman’s post, nothing could stop them from quote-tweeting it — fortunately for us, and perhaps more unfortunately for the poor guy’s notifications.

After a quick scroll through the QTs, we at Queerty think that this guy probably made the right choice.

And though we can’t confirm or deny the existence of a “bootyhole” pic, we must admit that they’re “diabolical.”

It’s not the first time that he’s recognized the gay thirst, either.

Earlier this year, he did a hilarious interview with drag queen Tiara Skye, where he answered hard-hitting questions like “Are you going to f*ck me tonight?”

OK, OK, now is it a great thing that we’re objectifying this politician and mostly ignoring his very good (and very important) policies?

Probably not.

But is it our fault that he has a six-pack and an Instagram where he posts pics with a trans flag when he’s not sharing shirtless pics? (He even owns a “Protect Scouse Dolls” shirt, guys!)

Definitely not.

We’ll stay in the quote tweets where we belong, but at the end of the day, we can’t imagine that it’s bad press for Cashman.

Who knows? As one user noted, perhaps the “horny QT campaign” might one day make him the next Prime Minister.
