This Mexico City nightlife maven is all about the “flirting and kissing”
Chapu Garza, TV host and content creator, likes to party. Who better to ask what to do?
Chapu Garza, TV host and content creator, likes to party.
That’s why he created Gay Hopping México, a tour of gay nightlife in Mexico City that includes the trendiest iconic bars, drag shows, VIP access to clubs, prepaid drinks, and safe transportation.
Chapu considers himself a “night person” who likes meeting new people. And that’s how this new project was born. He is trying to introduce Mexico City to visitors, the city he lives in and feels proud of.

Let’s find out Chapu’s recommendations for the very best gay hotspots in Mexico City.
Where do you bar hop when you go out with your friends, and in what order?
We start at my place. My place is prepared for pre-games and after-parties. Then I usually go to a rooftop like Revuelta Queer House. Later we might go to a place like Dragaret with live shows. Or Sirenito. If I wanna dance and drink, places like Club Bonito or Rico Club are the choices. I love Rico Club. But if there’s a party in the city, we go to Pervert.
Who is the best drag queen in the city?
If you wanna see a show, Kali Kaoz is my favorite because she jumps and does a split. But I’ve seen Gala Varo fire shows, and that’s out of this world. There’s a comedy queen that I like, Paris Elegance.
Which hotel do you suggest for out-of-town friends?
Andaz Condesa. But I do prefer Airbnb. Gay-friendly, of course.
What is your favorite food, and where do you get it in Mexico City?
OMG! This taco place called La Flor de Turín is close to my place, and they have tacos de suadero con queso. Those are my favorite, they have handmade tortillas and are really big.
Where do you shop?
I’m pretty basic. Zara or something like that. I always dress up with colorful T-shirts and jeans, that’s my outfit. But I know a store nearby here in Zona Rosa called Mala Luna, where sometimes I get something more fun and playful.
What’s the best part about the nightlife in Mexico City?
The best part about the nightlife in Mexico City is when you meet someone, flirt, kiss him, and then remember that you might not see him again. So that’s the best part. hahaha
