Cara Delevingne Confirms She is a Lesbian: ‘My Weakness Used to be Straight Women’
Cara Delevingne just delivered the gayest concert confession of the year alongside Rosalía… and yes, straight men caught a stray.
A viral moment from Rosalía’s May 6 show at London’s The O2 has the internet doing a double-take after actress, model, and artist Cara Delevingne joined the singer onstage for a women-loving “confessional.”
During the show, Rosalía played a Catholic priest while Delevingne poured her heart out to the packed arena crowd about love, identity, and relationships.
“I have been naughty,” Delevingne says through the privacy screen. “I was born that way, unapologetically naughty. If you didn’t know already, I’m a lesbian, and my weakness used to be straight women. I don’t know why. Maybe because they weren’t really straight, no one really is, that’s the point.”
The crowd erupted as the actress continued her confession, even taking a playful swipe at straight men.
“It’s the challenge,” she said. “And also, it’s because I genuinely don’t think anyone is fully straight. I also just don’t think men knew how to pleasure their girlfriends well enough, so I did that for them.”
Back in 2020, the actress publicly came out as pansexual, saying she falls in love with the person, not the identity. “I’m attracted to the person.”
She has also been romantically linked to Pretty Little Liars actress Ashley Benson. They dated from 2018 to 2020.
However, Delevingne confirmed onstage with Rosalía that she is now in a committed relationship and reflected on how her emotional intimacy has shifted.
“But now I’m in a committed relationship, and the thing is… I always used to love being the dominant one,” she said. “I loved taking control, but I think that’s because I was scared of being seen. I was scared to be submissive because I didn’t want to receive love. But now I think I’m ready. I am ready.”
Rosalía then asked, “Why do you have to be one or the other?”
“You don’t,” Delevingne responded. “But I just want to make sure that’s the case.”
The singer wrapped up the exchange by admitting, “This confession was very shocking to me. Very shocking.”
Delevingne then flashed a ring toward the audience and added, “My ring says ‘dyke’ on it, so…”
Naturally, clips of the chaotic, queer-friendly confessional spread across social media almost instantly.
