Gay influencers, celebrities and other partygoers attended The Standard Hotel in London on Wednesday evening for a special party in the top-floor Sweeties bar.

The gathering commemorated the 100th episode of the queer podcast, All Out with Jon Dean. The show began airing in 2024, but it has already gained over 100,000 subscribers.

Many in attendance have appeared as guests on the podcast.

“Gay people collaborating and platforming each other”

Dean gave a speech in which he thanked everyone who has supported him over the last couple of years. He also encouraged people to network and spoke off the importance of gay and bi men supporting each other.

Singer Tsatsamis provided a live PA, while DJs James Lee and Jonjo Jury worked the decks.

“Bringing so many people together who have featured on the show was a real highlight for me,” Dean told GayCities. “I’m a big advocate of gay people collaborating and platforming each other, and hope people got the chance to make some new connections at the party.”

As for the future, Dean said he’s excited about his future guests.

“Sitting down for those more intimate conversations is the heart of All Out, and I’m always exploring subjects and themes that resonate with our audience. But what I’m most looking forward to is our new YouTube format, Access All Out, where I take viewers backstage and behind the scenes of the entertainment industry and the creators in it.

“I love anything that feels like exclusive access or a rare insight into another life or event, so filming these has been a lot of fun.”

The Standard London

Guests on Wednesday sipped on free vodka cocktails and enjoyed the views over King’s Cross from the floor-to-ceiling windows.

The very queer-friendly Standard London was the first Standard Hotel to open outside the US when it opened in 2019. The brutalist 1974 building used to house council offices. However, you’d never guess it from the overhaul given to it by the Standard.

It features 266 rooms (some with outside bathtubs!) and is located just across the road from King’s Cross station and the iconic St Pancras International.

We’d never visited Sweeties before, but it proved the perfect venue for an evening of midweek partying and networking with other gay creatives and influencers. Should you be in the UK capital, the Standard London has a number of public spaces, including five gorgeous bars and restaurants, plus a rooftop space for the summer months.
