Moore has been in a long drawn-out legal battle over a four-year doping ban handed to her by the International Tennis Integrity Agency after she tested positive for steroids. An independent commission found Moore did not bear responsibility for the positive test, agreeing with her reasoning that she ingested contaminated beef while in Colombia, leading to the elevated levels. The Court of Arbitration for Sport confirmed her ban in July of this year, making her ineligible to play until December 2027.

Moore has said she had suffered “19 months of lost time and emotional distress” and that her reputation had suffered due to the case.
