Good boys, gay sports & Madonna’s hot collab: 10 things we’re obsessed with this week
Pride Month ain't over yet, gays!

Now that we’re halfway through Pride Month it’s time for a check-in: Did you hydrate? Have you slept? Are we having fun?
The answer better be yes, because we’ve still got two weekends left, and the world of LGBTQ+ news has shown no signs of slowing down.
How about we take this to the next level?

Not only is Leviticus bringing some queer representation to horror, but Aaron Goldenberg is sharing his heartwarming story, the internet is discussing “VHS cleaner,” and we’re reminiscing on Call Me By Your Name.
Plus, Andrew Rannells spilled some Girls tea, Heartstopper Forever is on its way, and Zaya Wade is serving.
Otherwise, it’s been live, laugh, Madonna. And repeat.
Now presenting, the 10 things we’re obsessed with this week…
1. Pride Month Vinyls from Urban Outfitters

If we can’t have equal rights or universal healthcare this Pride Month, the least we can get is some Urban Outfitter vinyl exclusives, created and curated with the gays in mind. This year, the hip retailer has blessed us with some especially irresistible additions to our record shelf, including Kesha’s “ATTENTION!” / “Red Flag” 7-Inch Single ($17.98), a special pink-swirled edition of Robyn’s “Sexistential” LP ($33.98), and the “Glitter” / “Girl of Your Dreams” 7-Inch Single ($17.98), which marks trans pop dreamgirl Eli’s debut vinyl release.
2. Good Boy Gear

You know what they say: “You are what you underwear.” Which is exactly why I ordered a pair of these Good Boy Team Briefs ($25) the second they arrived online at LGBTQ Outpost. LOL.
But don’t let the queer-owned and operated brand’s name fool you, it’s not just for the good boys; it’s for anyone who wants their “under layers to feel just as confident as the rest of their look.” And thankfully, for the nicer (and naughtier), they’re well stocked in Team Trunks and Classic Jockstrap, both available in black or white for $25.
3. When the sports makes you gay
I’ve never seen anything like the Knicks’ incredible NBA Finals win last weekend, which was so powerful that it seemingly inspired straight dudes in Brooklyn to climb street poles and start making out. OMG WTF?!
So, um, should I start watching sports, or…?
4. Mighty Real: A History of LGBTQ Music, 1969-2000 by Barry Walters
Finally, a history book we want to read! In Mighty Real ($35 on Amazon), veteran journalist Barry Walters recounts LGBTQ+ music history, from the sweaty underground disco parties of the Stonewall era to hyper-colored, chart-topping 21st century pop.
Rooted in his decades spent as a music critic in New York and San Francisco, Walters connects the dots between RuPaul, Grace Jones’ androgyny, Prince’s sexuality, and the Indigo Girls’ defiance to paint a tapestry as colorful as the Pride flag itself. You’ll want to tear through its pages and add just about every song he mentions to your playlist.
5. Madonna’s ABSOLUT-ely iconic new collab

It’s ironic that Madonna was recently unveiled as the newest ABSOLUT ICON, considering vodka and Confessions II are the only things I’ll be consuming this summer. Kidding — kind of.
The partnership, which spans billboards, print ads, and a donation to GLAAD, and was accompanied by an instantly iconic pic reuniting the singer with her historic purple corset bodysuit from the “Hung Up” music video. And the timing couldn’t be more perfect, considering ABSOLUT and the Queen of Pop were some of the LGBTQ community’s earliest supporters. While Madge taught the world how to “Vogue,” ABSOLUT shook up by ’80s by becoming the first spirit brand to advertise in a queer publication.
That said, the most delicious part of it all are the cocktail recipes the two icons cooked up together, which combine the new ABSOLUT TABASCO (available online, prices vary) with Madonna’s sensibilities for drinks like the Ex-spresso Yourself and Confessions Cosmo.
6. Keith Haring Bathing Suits

I didn’t know I needed new swimwear until I saw this Keith Haring-adorned suit, available for $45 from Pacsun. Don’t let its mall brand fool you, with a drawstring waistband, pockets, the perfect amount of translucency, and most importantly, 4″ inseams, they knew their audience was the gays. And they delivered!
7. “Brutalist” by Kim Petras
In between bops about iconic lewks and making your boyfriend “buss a lot,” Kim Petras slyly slipped in her poignant track yet on her new album Detour. In “Brutalist,” the pop star waxes poetic about a demolished building that her architect father admired: “It was brutalist / And it was beautiful / It was my favorite.” Although a closer listen quickly reveals it’s actually an allegory for her transition.
And after one listen, you’ll quickly understand why the singer considers it a career standout.
8. A friendly GAY-me of telephone
This video from drag artist JUDAH will probably be darn near unintelligible to the heteros, but as a gay man during Pride Month, it’s basically my Cocomelon.
9. The most heated vinyl figures we’ve ever seen

Is it hot in here… or is it just these vinyl figures? Just when you thought the Heated Rivalry mania was cooling down, Youtooz debuted this 4.9-inch tall Tuna Melt collectible, available for $39.99 online. Depicting Shane Hollander on Ilya Rozanov’s lap, the company proudly calls it their “steamiest” collectible yet, and we’d have to agree. I know it’s a toy, but, like, should we get them a room, or…?
The good news is that while these Heated Rivalry collectibles launched in time for Pride, they’re not expected to ship until November, so you have plenty of time to choose if you want to add the Face Off and What He Said figures too.
10. The 2026 Las Culturistas Culture Awards
This year’s Las Culturistas Culture Awards, now streaming on Peacock, prove that Bowen Yang and Matt Rogers have perfected the extremely gay art of award shows. In a single program, the two comedians took everything we loved about the typical pageantry — glitz, glamour, extravagant performances, nonsensical wins, and beloved character actresses — and turned the gay up to 11.
I love their silly, flamboyant little minds, Pikachu, and that Broadway-caliber renditions of Addison Rae tunes have seemingly become tradition.
