Kesha Is Feeling Free and Unapologetic on New Single ‘ORIGAMI!’
Kesha is back!
Kesha is done playing by anyone else’s rules.
The pop icon officially launched her self-described “freedom era” with the release of “ORIGAMI!,” a bold anthem celebrating sex, liberation, and radical self-love. The track arrives ahead of her upcoming Freedom Tour and marks another confident step into her fully independent chapter as an artist.
Packed with cheeky double entendres, “ORIGAMI!” arrives just weeks before the launch of The Freedom Tour, her upcoming 25-date North American run beginning May 23 in California.
“‘ORIGAMI!’ is a celebration of sex,” Kesha shared in a statement. “Wherever and with whoever you choose to have it with! It’s about embracing freedom and self-love that we all deserve.” She even lists a few locations in the song if you need inspiration.

“To the bedroom, to the kitchen/To the bathroom, at the addition/In the Uber to the airport,” she sings.
The new era follows the raw, rebellious energy of her Tits Out Tour and continues the deeply personal evolution fans have watched unfold over the past few years. According to the release, The Freedom Tour is meant to be “a celebration of survival, liberation and radical joy.”
“This summer we are reclaiming our bodies, our voices, and our joy,” Kesha said while discussing the tour. “We have survived. Now we get to be free.”
The Freedom Tour will feature support from Chromeo on all dates, with additional appearances from Erika Jayne, Sizzy Rocket, and MEEK on select stops. Kesha is also set to perform at the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival and All Things Go Festival this summer.
Recently, Kesha spoke on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast about her tours and the safe spaces she aims to create while performing.
“When I was designing my show, I wanted it to feel like a pop church for all people,” she explained. “Having gone to church after church after church in my life, wanting to go to divinity school, and being part of the queer community, and caring very deeply about the queer community, the last act of my show is called queer church.”
The new release also continues Kesha’s independent artist era, following the launch of Kesha Records and the release of music on her own terms.
If “ORIGAMI!” is any indication, Kesha’s next chapter is messy, horny, and completely on her own terms.
