Lukas Gage Joins Christopher Briney in Amazon MGM’s ‘Clashing Through the Snow’
We are so here for this casting...
Lukas Gage is officially along for the ride. The actor has joined Christopher Briney and Michelle Randolph in Amazon and MGM Studios’ upcoming film Clashing Through the Snow, a new comedy set to begin production later this month.
The project is described as a modern, messy travel story in the spirit of classic road-trip comedies, designed for a new generation of audiences. Expect chaos, awkward bonding moments, and at least one emotional breakthrough along the way.
Carlson Young will direct the film for Wonderland Sound and Vision, with McG, Mary Viola, and Lena Roklin producing. The script comes from Daniel Mackey and Rebecca Ewing, the writers behind Netflix’s Love Hard, which became a fan favorite on the platform. Ari Sandel and Kyle Luker are on board as executive producers.
Gage first broke out with his sharp, scene-stealing turn in The White Lotus and has kept the momentum going ever since. His recent credits include Smile 2, Companion, and Road House, and his upcoming slate is packed with everything from indie films to major streaming series. He also starred alongside Tom Blyth and Emily Bader in the book-to-screen adaptation of The People We Meet on Vacation.
Of course, we are always here for a Christopher Briney moment. After the emotional series finale of The Summer I Turned Pretty, fans have been waiting for his next on-screen chapter. Yes, we know a follow-up movie is on the way but the real question remains… when are we actually getting it? In the meantime, we are more than ready to see him step into something new. And let’s not forget, he also leaned fully into heartthrob territory as Aaron Samuels in the 2024 film version of Mean Girls. Safe to say, Briney popping up in a chaotic road-trip comedy feels like exactly the kind of fun pivot we needed.
With production about to begin, Clashing Through the Snow is shaping up to be a fun, star-driven addition to Amazon MGM’s slate and one to keep an eye on as more details start to roll in.
