Luke Evans in sheer briefs is about to create a New York tourism boom
There's never been a better time to visit New York, and give yourself over to absolute pleasure.

There’s never been a better time to visit New York and give yourself over… to… absolute… pleasure.
Of course, we’re talking about the new Broadway production of The Rocky Horror Show, starring Luke Evans as Dr. Frank-N-Furter, and playing at Studio 54 through June 21, 2026.

For over 50 years, Richard O’Brien’s campy sci-fi classic has delighted LGBTQ+ audiences both onscreen and onstage. This especially fresh and hot iteration, which was helmed by Tony Award-winning Oh, Mary! director Sam Pinkleton, looks to both entertain longtime fans of the original while introducing it to a new queer generation.
It certainly helps that the show has an exceptionally diverse and talented cast bringing it to life, including Rachel Dratch, Harvey Guillén, Michaela Jaé Rodriguez, Stephanie Hsu, Juliette Lewis, and, perhaps most notably, Evans’, ahem, sheer briefs.

That said, a passing rendition of the “Time Warp” and some gold undies a good production does not make, and according to the initial reactions, the new Rocky Horror Show delivers on all cylinders.
No spoilers, but one early attendee revealed the theater’s interior “looks like a spaceship,” and other reviewers saluted both the production value and performances.
“A revival with a lavish set in this economy? We won,” one user wrote on Instagram.
On X, another audience member joked, “Luke Evans in a sheer jockstrap, put it on my grave,” one user called the production “amazing,” and @HomoConBear said it best when they wrote: “Dayum. *books trip to see Rocky Horror on Broadway.”
Pride Month is still a few months away, but it’s looking like the most travel-worthy performance of the season is here, and ready to make you shiver with antici… pation. Brrr!
