Luxury LGBTQ+ travel company Brand g has just announced over a dozen of its 2028 collection of cruises and guided tours.

Brand g launched in 2011 with a single riverboat trip. It now routinely organizes around 28 trips each year — a number that keeps growing. These range from guided land tours to deluxe river cruises and luxury yacht cruises at sea, all built for travelers who want to see the world without leaving their community behind.

The 2028 collection introduces several firsts for the company, including an expedition to China, a sail from Dubrovnik to Venice along the Dalmatian and Adriatic coastlines, and its first land tour in Morocco. At the same time, strong demand for a number of Brand g’s most exotic journeys has prompted the company to offer select itineraries twice a year.

“Luxury travelers are increasingly looking for places that feel fresh and experiences that go beyond the expected,” said Mike Mumford, general manager of Brand g Vacations.

“Our 2028 collection is designed around exactly that — what’s new, what’s hot and what’s already resonating with our guests. We’re introducing exciting new destinations while giving travelers more opportunities to experience some of our most sought-after journeys.”

Boutique luxury

One of Brand g’s selling points is scale — or rather, the lack of it. Its packages are small and intimate, often using boutique luxury ships from the likes of Swan Hellenic, with passenger numbers ranging from just 40 to 160 per adventure. That’s small enough that fellow travelers become fellow storytellers, and a chance encounter on deck can easily turn into a lifelong friendship.

Brand g knows some of its routes are popular enough that it could easily fill bigger ships. Instead, it’s chosen to stick with smaller luxury boats and simply run more departures.

The following popular routes will now be on offer twice in 2028.

• Its Amazon Cruise & Machu Picchu journey will operate two departures in May 2028, pairing days drifting through the rainforest canopy with the alpine hush of Machu Picchu at dawn, plus immersive visits to the Sacred Valley, Lima and Cusco.

• Enchanting Egypt runs in both February and March 2028. The 11-night journey combines Cairo’s markets and monuments with a luxurious Nile River cruise past temples that have stood since the age of the pharaohs, with an optional 6-night Jordan extension for those wanting to add Petra to the itinerary.

• Discover Japan in either May or October, timed to catch the country at its most photogenic — cherry blossom season or the first blush of autumn color. The 12-day land journey takes in Tokyo, Hiroshima, Kyoto and a handful of lesser-known destinations most first-time visitors never find.

• ‘Journey Into Africa‘ runs twice in November. The 11-night adventure combines a luxury safari with the thunder of Victoria Falls, Cape Town and the vineyards of South Africa’s wine country.

“These are destinations of which our guests clearly want more,” said Mumford. “Rather than expanding our original trips, we’re adding additional departures to keep our experiences small and intimate.”

New vacations

New journeys for 2028 include a 13-night land journey through China, tracing a route from the Great Wall to the Shanghai Bund, from September 17–30. Demand has already outstripped supply — only waiting-list reservations remain.

There’s also a land-based journey across Morocco from March 19–29, taking in the medinas of Marrakech and Fez; an 11-night land journey across Northern Spain (July 6–17); and a new super yacht cruise from Dubrovnik to Venice, September 6–13, 2028.

Brand g adventures span the globe. Alongside the trips above, the 2028 schedule also includes river cruises on the Rhine, the Seine and the Danube, plus land journeys to Nepal, Bhutan, Vietnam and India.

Packages are all-inclusive, covering airport pick-ups and departures (though not flights). The 2028 trips are on sale now, with more itineraries set to be announced in the coming weeks.

Prices and giving back

To give a sense of price, the lowest-priced accommodation on the 11-day Egypt cruise is $10,399 per person, sharing a two-person cabin. The Amazon and Machu Picchu adventure starts at $10,499 per person, also sharing. The 7-day Rhine cruise starts at around $4,999 per person, sharing a cabin. Brand g offers payment plans for those wishing to spread the cost.

Beyond unforgettable, memory-packed adventures for LGBTQ+ travelers, Brand g also believes in giving back. A percentage of proceeds goes to US-based non-profits — some LGBTQ-focused (Gay Men’s Choruses, HIV charities), others delivering international support, such as clean water projects in Africa or an orphanage in Cambodia. Over the last 15 years, the company has donated more than $1.3 million to non-profit organizations.
