Drag artists graced the stage on a recent Thursday at The Boiler Room, a gay bar in the East Village, which hosts a weekly drag show. Tanya Asapansa-Johnson Walker, known as the co-founder of New York Transgender Advocacy Group, was front and center as Lady Tanya at the weekly event, which also featured other drag artists, including Monet, Jasmin Van Wales, and Miss Simone, who served as the evening's host. Charles Gonzalez, who manages events at The Boiler Room, was also featured at the event. Gonzalez's artwork hangs on the wall along the interior of the bar.
