Prince William Is ‘Still Thinking About’ Robert Irwin’s Python
Robert Irwin tried to talk conservation. Prince William’s python joke sent him face-first into Graham Norton’s sofa.

Prince William had six words for Robert Irwin: “I’m still thinking about your python.” Irwin’s response was to bury himself in Graham Norton’s sofa. I don’t think he had a better option.
The exchange aired Oct. 23 on BBC One’s The Graham Norton Show. Irwin, William, Cate Blanchett and Hannah Waddingham were together when Norton brought up the Bonds underwear campaign.

The photos show Irwin in his briefs with wildlife, including a python around his shoulders. He explained that the campaign could introduce animals to people who wouldn’t usually seek them out.
“But seriously, what matters to me is the snake in that image,” he told Norton.

Norton moved on to a photo with a huntsman spider. William identified it, and Irwin explained that it was venomous. Then William delivered his python callback. Irwin folded forward while the audience cheered.

The photos date to April 2025, when Bonds unveiled Irwin’s underwear campaign. Snakes and a spider featured alongside the Australian conservationist. Gayety covered the launch, including the attention those pictures were getting from gay fans.

The pictures have now followed Irwin all the way to a conversation with the future king. Bonds certainly got a long run out of this campaign.
Since the shoot, Irwin and Witney Carson won Season 34 of Dancing With the Stars in November 2025. His sister Bindi had won a decade earlier. He also received flowers from Jonathan Bailey after his Wicked-inspired routine during the season. Why William and Irwin appeared together
William founded the Earthshot Prize, and Irwin became a global ambassador in September 2024. Actor Nomzamo Mbatha joined the ambassador program at the same time.

According to The Nightly’s account of the episode, William also discussed his 2024 Eras Tour selfie with Taylor Swift. He had been trying to get a picture with Swift and his children, while Travis Kelce kept entering the frame.
“Travis kept coming back in, and I couldn’t work out why he kept coming back in,” William said.
He also admitted that he once wanted to be a DJ. “I came up with a name, I was called DJ Xara with an X, it wasn’t good,” he told Norton. He then had to explain where the X went. At the front, apparently.
