Who can forget the shirt rip heard around the world two weeks ago?

But this week, the thirst was temporarily put on pause. Instead, Robert had audiences in complete shambles as he honored his mother Terri Irwin with an epic tribute as part of the show’s Dedication Night.

“Tonight I dance for my mum, the strongest person I know,” Robert wrote in touching post. “My mum and dad created a legacy that I’m proud to continue. I hope I can use this dance to share what she means to me, to our family, and to say thank you for always supporting me through life’s ups and downs.”

Robert is out here shaming all of our mother’s day cards!

Robert was just two when his father passed away at the age of 44 from a stingray injury while filming in the Great Barrier Reef on September 4th, 2006. He and his older sister Bindi were raised by single mom Terri, who continued to run the Australia Zoo and maintained Steve’s legacy.

Robert took the opportunity to praise all his mom’s hard work and show her the gratitude he felt she deserved to hear.

Once it came time for the actual dance, the waterworks began to flow.

Robert and partner Witney Carson performed a contemporary routine to Phil Collins’ 1999 hit “You’ll Be in My Heart.” However, no one was prepared for the reveal: A flawless appearance at the end by Terri to finish the routine alongside her son.

Grab the tissues!

The mother and son embraced at the end as Robert held back tears.

“As I got older, started to realize just how hard it would have been for her to be there for us, and all the while continue dad’s legacy that her and dad built together,” Robert said.

“I’ve never really been able to capture the feeling of gratitude that I feel for her. That [at] every milestone that I just wished my dad was there, she was there, and that was enough.” ????

Robert is repping for the mama’s boys around the world. We stan our emo king!

And of course he solidified the mom vote.

The emotional routine wound up earning Robert and Witney a season-high total score of 35 out of a possible 40 points.

And we couldn’t be happier, since Robert is also a loud and proud LGBTQ+ ally.

In the end, no one was eliminated on Dedication Night, so the remaining 10 couples all moved onto to next week’s competition.

Whether flaunting his abs or his vulnerability, Robert Irwin has got the goods to follow in his sister’s footsteps (Bindi won season 21) and take home the Mirrorball Trophy.

Regardless of how it turns out, he’s already won our hearts!
