Three-fourths of NFL teams celebrate Pride Month, much to the bigots’ dismay

As the NFL and more of its teams celebrate Pride Month on social media, homophobes are losing their grip on reality.

Homophobes were excited early on June 1 when they were able to report that a whopping 11 NFL teams had not promoted Pride Month. Of course, Pride Month had only started a few hours earlier. It still had 29 days and some change left in it.

It was a head-scratcher, even for these people who so often overreact on social media.

Of course, since they announced their “Homophobe’s 11,” the heralded NFL teams that would put their stake in the ground and proclaim their objection to the woke takeover of the league and these pesky gays and their Pride! Go football!

Or so they thought.

Since the celebration of their list, two more NFL teams have “violated the sanctity of football in America” by daring to wave the rainbow flag online during Pride. That makes it now 72% of the NFL teams have shared their love of the gays for Pride Month 2026.

Plus, the league itself has shared many messages celebrating Pride.

Sports teams flood social media with Pride support — and anti-LGBTQ fans are upset
Sports teams from the NBA, MLB, NFL, NWSL, NHL, MLS, PWHL and WNBA are all celebrating Pride on social media. Anti-LGBTQ people are upset.

If you’ve followed the NFL in recent years, you knew these teams would show LGBTQ support at some point anyway.

The Los Angeles Rams, even on a day when they made a blockbuster trade for DE Miles Garrett, found the time to celebrate the beginning of Pride Month on Instagram.

“Celebrating love today and every day,” the Rams wrote. “Happy Pride Month!”

Not to be outdone, the New York Giants crushed the hopes of homophobes with their own “Happy Pride Month” message on X.

NFL shares many Pride Month messages on social media

And while the homophobes celebrated the fact that the NFL — which once said “football is gay” — hadn’t yet acknowledged Pride Month and the gays in the early hours of June 1, the league has since retweeted Pride messages from eight teams.

The league has already this year shown support for the LGBTQ community by hosting A Night of Pride at the Super Bowl, just as they’ve done the last several years.

The Giants and Rams were obviously going to show support for Pride at some point. They’ve both demonstrated strong support for the LGBTQ community over the years.

There are now nine teams that we believe haven’t posted on social media about Pride Month. It’s possible some of them will. They have 29 more days. Those teams: Cincinnati Bengals, Cleveland Browns, Dallas Cowboys, Kansas City Chiefs, Las Vegas Raiders, New Orleans Saints, New York Jets, Pittsburgh Steelers and Tennessee Titans.

No, we’re not shaming these teams. In fact, some of them have shown support for the LGBTQ community in the past.

The Jets Foundation has sponsored the Gay Bowl in the past. There have been other gestures from some of those teams, like the Cowboys welcoming Jeff Rohrer and his husband to team events.

Pro teams in the NFL and beyond are showing their love for the LGBTQ community. It’s great to see.
