Check out 13 photos from Provincetown Bear Week 2026
The big and hairy came out to play in Cape Cod between July 11-19.

One of the biggest bear gatherings in the world is Provincetown Bear Week in Massachusetts.
P-Town hosts themed weeks and weekends through the summer season, but Bear Week is one of the most famous. Thousands of men from across the US and beyond descend upon the Cape Cod enclave for a packed itinerary of parties.
Organized by Provincetown Bears, this year’s Bear Week was the 26th such event.

Many of the LGBTQ venues in the town participate, with pool parties, discos and barbecues at The Crown and Anchor and Boatslip Resort (where these photos were taken).

The Brass Key held its always-popular Wiener Roast, while a Bear Market offered visitors a chance to stock up on all manner of ursine-related merchandise. Guest club nights included Bearracuda and Furball.
Non-party events included walking tours, beach trips, a games night and movie night, ‘Bearaoke’, and, for those not out too late the evening before, a pancake breakfast.

If you missed Bear Week, you can always enjoy the smaller Spooky Bear Weekend later in the year (October 29 to November 1), or the annual ‘Out Of Hibernation’ gathering each March.
