Harry Styles Returns With New Album ‘Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally.’ After Four Years Away

After nearly four years away from releasing new music, Harry Styles is stepping back into the spotlight.

The global pop star announced Thursday that his fourth solo album, Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally., will arrive March 6 via Columbia Records. While fans are still waiting on the first single, Styles offered an early glimpse of the project by unveiling its cover art on Instagram: a sunglasses-clad singer caught mid-dance beneath a glowing disco ball.

The reveal follows weeks of quiet teasing. Posters and billboards began appearing across parts of Europe with short, romantic phrases, “we belong together” and “see you very soon,” fueling speculation that a new era was imminent. The confirmation landed swiftly, and loudly. A New Chapter, Familiar Collaborators

Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally. features 12 tracks and reunites Styles with producer Kid Harpoon, a longtime collaborator who has worked on each of the singer’s solo albums to date. Their most recent partnership, 2022’s Harry’s House, proved especially fruitful, generating the chart-dominating single “As It Was” and earning widespread acclaim.

That album marked a commercial and cultural peak. It debuted at No. 1 in multiple territories, earned platinum certification in the U.S., and ultimately took home Album of the Year at the 2023 Grammy Awards. The accompanying Love On Tour stretched across two years, packed arenas around the world, and grossed more than $600 million.

Following that run, Styles largely disappeared from public view. Life Away From the Stage

Rather than teasing new music, the singer spent much of his downtime pursuing quieter passions. He became an avid long-distance runner, completing major marathons in Tokyo and Berlin. He was also frequently spotted in Rome, where he kept a notably low profile, at one point even blending into crowds gathered during the election of Pope Leo XIV.

His lifestyle brand, Pleasing, remained active in his absence, making headlines last year for expanding beyond beauty and apparel into sexual wellness products. The move surprised some fans, though it fit the brand’s increasingly playful tone. A Return Shaped by Loss

The album also arrives after a deeply personal loss. In October 2024, Styles’ former One Direction bandmate Liam Payne died at age 31 after falling from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires. Styles shared a tribute at the time, describing it as an honor to have grown alongside Payne and praising his ability to bring joy to others. He later joined Louis Tomlinson, Zayn Malik and Niall Horan at Payne’s funeral.

While Styles has not spoken publicly about how that loss influenced the new record, Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally. marks his first musical release since the tragedy. What Comes Next

Adding to the buzz, Styles’ official website quietly launched album merchandise alongside the announcement, including vinyl, cassettes, cameras and branded accessories. The site briefly struggled under heavy traffic as fans rushed to take in the news.

Reports have also circulated that Styles may be planning another residency at Madison Square Garden, though no dates have been confirmed.

For now, the focus remains on the music, and on a pop star returning at his own pace, disco ball overhead, ready to dance again.
