Couples are sharing stories of how they met after a callout posted last week on Threads.

“I want to hear your gay meet/cutes!” posted Threads user Charlie (@greencolorado17). “My husband and I met wandering the streets of SF pride in 2010. Our paths crossed on the street and he stopped me with a pick up line. 15 years and 2 kids later….”

He included a selection of photos from over the years.

As for the pick-up line: “He said ‘you’re fuzzy’ or something wasn’t that sly haha”

The replies came pouring in.

Fron long-distance to living together

New York-based designer Mazen Eshak [above] sent Queerty a few additional details.

“Vincent and I met at a holiday party when working for a large French design firm. We met on the dance floor. Our friend had introduced us. We didn’t really hang out during the party until later, when we connected over our shared hatred of the DJ’s music choices. So, we ended up meeting that evening and then spending the next three days together which was the time that Vincent was in New York for the party. He then flew back to Minnesota, and we were long-distance for a year and a half.”

Vincent visited New York half a dozen times over the next 18 months, before he transferred to the city for work. He moved in with Mazen.

“Which was incredible. He has a beautiful white cat named Omar. I have a beautiful black cat named Egg. We became this kind of little family in a very small studio on thirty-fourth Street. But we then kind of got upgraded into our new apartment, where we also started our interior design company. On top of that, we now have another company which is regenerative design, meaning that we focus on materials that can be recycled and reused endlessly. So we work very closely together. We do a lot of projects together, and create a lot of art together. We just basically quickly joined our lives together.”
