There are at least three publicly out lesbian and gay coaches still competing for the women’s March Madness college basketball championship in the Sweet 16.
Both the men’s and women’s March Madness have had surprisingly few upsets in the first couple of rounds. Only five of the 32 teams left in the Sweet 16 between the two tournaments were not seeded to be left still playing.
At least three of the women’s teams have a coach on the staff who is LGBTQ. If you’re looking forward a team to cheer for, here are at least three members of the LGBTQ community still looking to win the national championship.
