Mets prospect Mitch Voit, with his impossibly chiseled jaw, is baseball’s latest thirst-trap

The New York Mets haven’t had a very good season, to say the least. They currently sit in last place in the NL East despite having the highest payroll in baseball. But hey, at least they have a prospect who is so attractive that some people on social media are claiming he looks AI-generated.

Mitch Voit won Player Development Player of the Year for the team recently, and he was asked about the accomplishment in an interview. Little did he know that the clip would garner almost 11 million views on X and nearly as many opinions about his good looks.

It’s crazy how the internet works. You can go from a complete unknown to being famous for something completely out of your control overnight.

Voit is clearly an attractive man. He’s face is chiseled, he’s got a great smile, and his hair is perfect. What is there not to like about him? But apparently, you have to be just a little below a 10/10 to get the approval of random MLB fans on X.

Voit is from Milwaukee and was selected 38th overall in the 2025 MLB Draft after a collegiate career with the Michigan Wolverines. He’s 21 years old and just getting started in professional baseball, but his perfect features have now given him a reputation that precedes his game. We’ll see whether he can become well known for hitting the baseball instead of “looksmaxxing” if the Mets call him up to the majors next season.
