The International Center for Photography on Ludlow Street in Manhattan hosted a mini ball on Sept. 10 at the Yves Saint Laurent photography gallery.
The event, officially billed as ICP's Late Night for Fashion, drew inspiration from New York City's ballroom scene and featured a conversation with photographer Gerard H. Gaskin and performer Michael Roberson about the ballroom and fashion communities.
Hosted by MC Legendary Leggoh and DJ Icon MikeQ, the mini ball featured about a half-dozen participants who competed in two categories: runway and fashion. The participants paid tribute to Yves Saint Laurent with looks from the Yves Saint Laurent photography archives.
The judges and special guests walked the runway ahead of the competition, as well. Audience members cheered loudly as each participant came forward.
