Matty Maggiacomo met his now-husband on Grindr. But their first encounter didn’t end with an expected climax. Instead, it was an intimate edging!
Maggiacomo, who has since become a star instructor on Peloton, was certain he wanted to see Evan Feeley again. So, he left with his clothes on.
“I remember feeling exasperated,” Feeley remarked.
After being engaged for two years, the couple recently married in an intimate ceremony in Central Park, a picturesque setting on a bright October day. They told their story to the New York Times, dishing for the first time about their unconventional connection.

With a peppy spark and Roman God-like looks, Maggiacomo is one of Peloton’s most popular coaches. A former TV reporter, the Rhode Island native brings high octane energy to his classes.
When exercising alone, motivation is key. Maggiacomo keeps his students engaged with cheeky tidbits, such as his relatable realization that he’s suddenly become important at work. “I love it and I hate it at the same time,” he says in between sets.
But if Maggiacomo is experiencing second thoughts about his fitness stardom, he doesn’t show it. Besides, his six-pack blinds us.

The Grindr you know (and don’t love) may soon be gone. Here’s what could be coming next…
Is a shake up in store?
While Maggiacomo was introduced to the masses during Spring 2020, he met Feeley a couple of months before, pre-rona. Maggiacomo was living with his then-fiancé, but their relationship was winding down.
They were open, a dynamic pursued by one-third of gay men.
Feeley was looking for a hookup, but Maggiacomo wanted something less fleeting.
“I wanted to ask Evan out to lunch rather than meeting him for some kind of ‘quickie,’” he told the Times.
His gambit paid off. Though Feeley was frustrated at the time, he relented and saw Maggiacomo again. Soon, they were living with one another in Maggiacomo’s small West Upper West Side apartment (they have since renovated).
“Every time I thought I had reached a feeling of being in love with Matty, it was replaced by something deeper,” said Feeley.
They got engaged at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, a swanky ceremony with a VIP “after-hours tour.”

Their wedding took place in Central Park on October 25. The scene was breathtaking.
Surrounded by fallen leaves and golden foliage, it was the quintessential fall day.
Maggiacomo and Feeley, who’s taken Matty’s last name, are also a quintessential gay couple–outside of their celebrity (PBS anchor Amna Nawaz hosted their ceremony). Unbarred by tradition, they charted their own path.
Remember, their Grindr meetup didn’t even end with a hookup. They waited!
Their patience paid off. The pair just wrapped up their honeymoon in Japan, where they enjoyed an array of activities from touring historic temples to snacking on viral cotton candy.
“Post-nuptial glow,” wrote Evan in the caption of his IG dump.
Next time we log onto Peloton and see Matty, we’ll be glowing too…
From a great workout, of course!
