New York City nightlife has entertainment for everyone, from Broadway and fine dining to dance clubs and a weekly all-male strip show, thanks to Brolesque.
Yep, you read that right! Gay bros + the art of burlesque = brolesque on Thursdays at 10 pm at Balcon Salon, located in the heart of Hell’s Kitchen.
The theatrical (and free) weekly show is a first-of-its-kind, combining world-class choreography, queer sensuality, humor, and, obviously, great-looking guys stripping down to give audiences a good ol’ gay time.
Keeping in line with Balcon Salon’s typical elevated fare, Brolesque is more than just a strip-and-shake-it sitch. Their current hour-long show, Fortune of Love, is based around tarot cards and stars a mystical host who helps the audience find their Mr. Right… or Mr. Right Now.
(We’ll let you decide which one.)
And while Taylor Swift is currently cosplaying “showgirl”, Boylesque stars real-life “show-gays,” Christopher Patterson-Roso, Felipe Ocampo, Gabriel Reyes, and Jason Carroll, and was created by Lockhart Brownlie, a choreographer who’s worked with the likes of Katy Perry, Britney Spears, and Swift herself.
“We created Brolesque to celebrate queer desire, movement, and connection without apology,” Brownlie said in a statement. “Bringing Fortunes of Love back to Balcon Salon feels like coming home — we’re thrilled to continue building something bold with one of NYC’s most exciting venues.”

Brownlie originally built the show on the West Coast, where it premiered at Strut in Orange County, and played throughout West Hollywood before moving to New York in 2023.
Since then, the Brolesque boys have toured Wilton Manors, Puerto Vallarta, Las Vegas, and The Ice Palace in Fire Island.
Still, the two-story Balcon Salon feels like the perfect home for their campy show, with a top-notch stage, big-budget lighting production, ample seating, and most importantly, a daily happy hour!
