Do you prefer being on top or hanging out on the bottom? Of a mountain, of course. You’ll be able to answer that burning question at the 21st anniversary of Elevation Mammoth Gay Ski Week from March 15-19, 2023You’ll have fun (read: sexy, silly, adventurous fun in the outdoors and indoors) figuring out the answer.

Mammoth is one of our favorite mountains in the US, for a lot of reasons, but partially because size does matter (no matter what anyone tells you).  As Ski Magazine said in 2022 “Mammoth Mountain is BIG…hosting an amazing range of terrain and snow, Mammoth aims to please skiers of all types.”

And we aren’t the only ones who love Mammoth.  Last December, Mammoth won the 2022 USA Today Reader’s Choice Travel Awards for “Best Ski Town” in North America. All the buzz has attracted celebrity chefs and brothers Bryan and Michael Voltaggio, who have decided to open a new restaurant called Vulcania in the Village at Mammoth.

Elevation Gay Ski Weeks have become so popular with gay travelers, they are now considered the largest series of gay ski events in the world. Their legendary status is due, in large part, to the ski week’s uncanny ability to be always dependable but never predictable.

Whether you attend Elevation Mammoth or Elevation Utah in Park City, you know you’re gonna get 3 big D’s – DJs, dancers and drag queens, of course.

This year at Mammoth, expect surprises from “Drag Race” Season 13’s endlessly creative drag superstar Utica, as well as Elevation Drag Brunch sass from the current Season 15’s Salina EsTitties and Weho fixture Rhea Litré.

This year, two international drag comedy legends come together for a 2-woman show. The absolutely hilarious Jackie Beat and Sherry Vine are bringing Battle of the Bitches to the slopes.

One event that we look forward to every year in Mammoth is the Onesie Apres-Ski, an Elevation Gay Ski Week tradition that manages to be sexy without taking itself too seriously. Where else can you find a collection of muscle boys in ass-less onesies, burners in rainbow bodysuits, gaymers in unicorn-horn hoodies, and lumberjocks in wool socks?

The Saturday night event, GEAR, is like a warehouse party at altitude. The dress code is gear – leather gear, sports gear, ski gear.  Just put some THOT into it.

The music at Elevation Mammoth is always top-notch, with DJs bringing a total of 15 events to life over the course of 5 days. DJ Dan Slater is spinning his first Elevation Mammoth after killing it in Park City last year. Some iconic LA-based DJs have helped to create the Elevation vibe, and we are excited to have DJ Josh Peace, DJ Dawna Montel, and DJ Casey Alva lead us on musical journeys. This year, up-and-coming DJ Simon Harrison and DJ Max Bruce both return for their second Elevation set.

On Saturday, hundreds of people will dress up in their best rainbow colors and parade down Mammoth Mountain with Pride. It’s like a big Pride parade, but on skis and snowboards. On Sunday, as your Elevation weekend is winding to a close, don’t miss the Elevation Drag Brunch, with Salina EsTitties and Rhea Litré.

It’s time.  Let’s have a ski-ski.
