God slay the queen — London just got a lot gayer, thanks to the West End premiere of Oh, Mary!

The Tony Award-winning play, written by Cole Escola, who originated the titular role, is a wild (and almost entirely fictional) look at the life of former First Lady, Mary Todd Lincoln, a retired cabaret star married to the secretly homosexual 16th president of the United States.

After dazzling Broadway audiences since its opening at the Lucille Lortel Theatre in July 2024, Oh, Mary! has finally made its way across the pond, and if its official opening on December 18 was any indication, the London gays are ready to giggle.

Currently, the show is running at the Trafalgar Theatre until April 25, 2026, with trans and non-binary actor Mason Alexander Park starring as Mary. For ticketing information and show times, visit the Trafalgar’s website.
