San Francisco said, “Thank you, sir, may we have another?” as the Up Your Alley fetish festival returned in all its kinky glory this past weekend.
Known colloquially as the Dore Alley festival, a reference to its eponymous SoMa street location, this cavalcade of kink is considered foreplay before September’s Folsom Street Fair, San Francisco’s more prominent BDSM event. Although daddy-dom Folsom may draw in a larger, comparably more mainstream crowd, many within the SF fetish community prefer power-bottom Dore, specifically because it’s more niche, more queer-focused, and involves fewer tourists.
For those who weren’t able to attend, we’ve snatched some of our favorite scenes from this year’s Up Your Alley weekend…

While Up Your Alley Fest is traditionally held on the last Sunday of July, Dore Alley weekend parties, like Friday night’s Pretty in Kink, edge the community until the main event. Hosted at Roccapulco by queer Burning Man tribe the Glamcocks, this doll-core dance party served up Barbie bondage bacchanalia.

LA-based Burner Victor “Hoops” Tang spanking himself for being a naughty kitty cat anthro.
The most popular Saturday party was the jock-couture party at Club 6, evidenced by the 3-hour-long line wrapped around the block. Hosted by Polyglamorous, this sportswear fetish fete exuded an old-school Tom of Finland-esque locker room vibe. Because of the debaucherous nature of the night, anonymity is paramount, but local kinkster David, aka Lil Bro, consented to us snapping a pic of his football lewk. Oh to be that lollipop in his mouth…

Sunday’s Up Your Alley Festival showcased a diverse cross-section of SF’s kink community, incorporating myriad genders, identities, fetishes, and fashion.
Chris “Treats” Ruiz, clad in his tasty wrestling single, greeted guests as they entered the street fair. Locals nicknamed Chris “Treats” because of his confectionary skills and because he’s a sweet snack.
As with all queer events, Drag Queens such as Amanda, seen here with her friend Disterbia, are a staple of the festivities.
One of the most prominent subcultures within the kink community is pup play, which includes members such as Bobbi and Wolfpup. Woof!
A comparably more mainstream kink is underwear fetish. Andy prefers Calvin Klein tighty-whities.
