Although daddy-dom Folsom may draw in a larger, comparably more mainstream crowd, many within the SF fetish community prefer power-bottom Dore, specifically because it’s more niche, more queer-focused, and involves fewer tourists.

While Up Your Alley Fest is traditionally held on the last Sunday of July, Dore Alley weekend parties, like Friday night’s Pretty in Kink, edge the community until the main event. Sunday’s Up Your Alley Festival showcased a diverse cross-section of SF’s kink community, incorporating myriad genders, identities, fetishes, and fashion.
