From Disney Channel hits to Golden Globes stardom, Ariana Grande, Selena Gomez, Miley Cyrus, and Zendaya are proving they’re unstoppable. These former child stars are all nominated for big awards at the 2025 Golden Globes, showing the world just how far they’ve come.
Grande and Gomez are both first-time Golden Globes nominees in the Best Supporting Actress category. Grande earned her spot for playing Glinda in the magical musical Wicked, while Gomez wowed critics in the crime-comedy-musical Emilia Pérez. “It’s impossible to find my words, but I am simply, so deeply grateful for this acknowledgment, ” Grande shared on Instagram. Gomez also celebrated her nod, sharing a heartwarming reaction video of herself popping up from under a pile of blankets in shock.
Zendaya, another Disney alum, is no stranger to awards. This year, she’s nominated for Best Actress in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy for her role in Challengers, where she plays a tennis star tangled in drama on and off the court. Fans first fell in love with Zendaya on Shake It Up, and now she’s dazzling on the big screen.
Miley Cyrus also joins the fun, earning a nomination for Best Original Song with her track “Beautiful That Way” from The Last Showgirl. It’s her first Golden Globe nod in 15 years—her last was for “I Thought I Lost You” from Disney’s Bolt. Talk about a comeback!

A Big Night for Big Stars
The 2025 Golden Globes are shaping up to be a star-studded event. Emilia Pérez leads with ten nominations, including Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy, where it’s up against Wicked and Zendaya’s Challengers.
TV isn’t left out, either. Gomez snagged another nod for Only Murders in the Building, and shows like The Bear and Shōgun are also bringing the heat with multiple nominations.
From Disney Dreams to Hollywood Queens
It’s hard to believe these nominees started out on Disney Channel and Nickelodeon. Grande sang her way into hearts on Victorious, Gomez cast her spell on Wizards of Waverly Place, Cyrus rocked out as Hannah Montana, and Zendaya danced her way to fame on Shake It Up.
Now, they’re taking over Hollywood, proving that they’re more than just childhood stars. Whether it’s through acting, singing, or both, these talented women are redefining success—and having fun while doing it.
The 2025 Golden Globes air January 5, and all eyes will be on these Disney legends to see who takes home the gold. Stay tuned—it’s going to be magical!
