UConn superstar Azzi Fudd has potentially two more games maximum in her collegiate career. The Huskies will play South Carolina in the Final Four for a chance to go to the National Championship on Friday.
Whether or not Fudd helps deliver UConn its 13th title, the out-and-proud upcoming professional is poised to get drafted first overall by the Dallas Wings in the WNBA Draft on April 13.
This is the second straight spring that the Wings will get the first overall pick, and last year they took another LGBTQ Connecticut star, Paige Bueckers.
When Dallas (in all likelihood) joins Bueckers and Fudd on the same team, it will be the latest instance of two lovebirds getting to work together on a WNBA court. They have been in a romantic relationship officially to the public since the summer of 2025. They also played together already on UConn and won the Natty together last March.

Fudd and Bueckers would potentially get to play their first game together on the Wings on May 9 when the team opens the regular season against Indiana. Bueckers is coming off a Rookie of the Year win in 2025. Fudd would look to make it two-for-two for this lovely couple in this award category when the WNBA tips off.
